Laker agate! This is why i always check those gravel beds at offices and stores and such. If I see anorthosite, zeolite and amygdoloidal rhyolite all together i know I'm in laker territory.

The first series are all agate and beach glass, with and without backlighting so you can see the shiny. Then there’s the Curiously Symmetrical Stones i could (and can still) not get enough of. They’re just so god. damned. symmetrical.
I’ve never found any agate on the north shore before, despite my best efforts. my one agate find until this week was in Coon Rapids river gravel (thank you glaciers). And now look at this.i found handfuls. Aud found handfuls on her first hunt. Jess found a fucking gorgeous one but i didn’t get a pic before they left.
