“Lamb born” Sketchbook 1 -Scotty Colin
“I could see Copper Mnt, Leadville, Turquoise Lake and Mnt. Elbert from the window of the plane. Mnt. Elbert was were i had been struck by lightening in 1994. Then I could see Lamborn mountain with Paonia beneath it.”
Close friends of mine got me on a plane and flew me down to Paonia, Colorado to try to clean up. I drank enough methodone to make the trip down on the plane so I wouldn’t be sick. I did this drawing on the plane. Once i got to Paonia i went through a harsh detox. I stayed in a silverstream trailer for two months. That’s when i started to draw every day. Paonia is a beautiful small town in Western Colorado where the desert meets the high mountains.
