A fresh homegrown meme for you all as I’ve just noticed this blog is so close to 500 followers!
Thanks to @asunkenplace for posting that amazing Lainey picture that inspired me to make it into a meme, you’re a babe
Reblog if you have a shelf dedicated specifically to your fidget spinners and gender rocks so relatable.
So... Lainey acting like she's 17 and Greg not really taking any of it seriously.... Sounds about right I guess
Oh look, it's catfishbot.
On Greg and him "accepting" Lainey's identity
Another user on here (@finder-of-rings) kinda made me think about something and it needs it's own post.
The thing that was brought up is Greg speaking for groups that don't really include him, which does stretch as far as the LGBT community. The whole idea of that really made me question his view on his spouse's identity... I mean Lainey, let's be real, is not trans (or very good at being closeted but I doubt that), and Greg says he's a straight man. He's said he'd support Lainey if they woke up as a man, but he's said he's only attracted to female-bodied people (remember him calling himself "gynesexual"?) so I very much doubt that he'd support Lainey being a biological man one day, and I'm definitely calling bullshit.
He's probably accepting of Lainey being agender because it benefits him. It means that he thinks it qualifies him to talk over or for others, like trans people. It's pretty obvious he gets off on thinking he's right, and that if he thinks he has a free pass to talk over other people's experiences because "my spouse is trans" makes him right, he'll bend his thoughts even if he doesn't agree with it. Even if that means he has to be accepting of his spouse being agender.
Sometimes I think that the only reason he supports how his spouse identifies besides the asspats he gets for being accepting. Any other time, it doesn't really matter.
Think about it. Does anyone remember their younow/twitter spat when she said on his stream that they're in a "gay" relationship or something similar? He said something like "but you're biologically female, I'm not gay" and then tweeted about the fight with his spouse, and tweeting stuff like "but trans people are still their biological sex".
It seems like he doesn't really see trans people (binary or not) as anything other than their birth sex (example- his transphobia towards Blaire White though that may just be because she disagrees with him). Either that or he thinks Lainey is a trender- but Lainey's identity is a post for another time.
