I remember when I played this gig, the staff at L'amours in Brooklyn were fucking assholes. They gave us a case of old Milwaukee beer, a brand they didn't even sell at their bar along with 200$ and had us and our clique who were getting in that night stand in the middle of a red square on their floor. Everyone complained but I was being very accomdating but also brought a bottle of Tanqueray gin and proceeded to drink it throughout the night. We had to play in front of the Ramones equipment which didn't leave us any room on stage and the basement was our backstage. When we started to play the soundman made Dave Insurgent's vocals sound like Donald Duck but he forgot to do that to my Mic so when I heard the crowd calling out for "Hey ho let's go" I told them "why don't you all hey ho and get the fuck out of here" and I thought what should I say next and it came to me "do you wanna hear the Ramones or some Led fucking Zeppelin" and the rest of the band started playing 'Communication Breakdown'. We finished our set, got a pit going and there were no more interruptions of "Hey ho let's go". Afterwards the staff looked at me like we thought you were the reasonable one, naw fuck that shit.
