i stupidly pulled too hard on my new yellow lamy safari and the whole nib unit came out. i stupidly pushed it in the wrong way and it got stuck to the point the feed and section were irreparable so it had to be chucked. i thankfully have some spare parts and i made this:

i like the look of the all-yellow Safari but the translucent section of an al-star looks much nicer. happy accident i guess! i did salvage the nib before throwing the feed. i already have a few spares but they can come in handy for times like this.

don’t let my stupidity put you off buying a lamy safari btw; they’re great, relatively cheap pens with good build quality when you don’t brute force something.

The source of all my pain this week. I’m considering changing my day off to Monday because I’m going to Bath and it would be nice to be able to relax on the train, maybe read my book about Virginia Woolf but most likely stare out the window and contemplate my existence.
