Once and Nevermore

The march through (place name) came to an abrupt pause when Lan Wangji, who had been walking smoothly, if stiffly, with never a single expression of pain marring his flawless brow, suddenly fell to the ground as if he’d taken a step without remembering that his leg was broken.

Lan Fuyong, who had been keeping as close an eye on his cousin as he dared without drawing the attention of the Wen down on them, started to move forwards before he could even consider whether or not it was betraying too much to do such a thing.

Ever since the day that they had been forcibly brought away from the smoldering wreckage of their home, hostages under a prettier name, they had all been watching out for their young master as much as possible. While Zewu-jun had hopefully managed to escape any possible ambushes in the woods, there was no way to know for certain if he was safe now or not. If something happened to him, then all their hopes would fall on Lan Wangji, who had held his face and pride as high as possible as a shield for all of them, reminding them that the Wen could not break his spirit even if they could touch his body.

So yeah Im kinda late to this “New Year - New Icon” thingie, but screw it! I’m kinda happy with this one even tho it’s simple and I don’t have turquoise hair anymore. This and a quick look at how my icons changed...Damn those were awful.

I also plan to work on my YouTube account more? God, I srsly plan a lot of things and end up failing at finishing one. Gonna do speed paint for @therealjacksepticeye’s 15 million milestone and if it works out it will be my first video ^^
