Thank you very much to the 123 people who follow me xD, I apologize for my delay regarding this drawing, they will understand that I have school xD
(sometimes I would like to upload drawings about my Oc's but it would not be of much interest haha)
idk, I hope you really enjoy the drawing HAHAHA, it is between the sfw and the nsfw, therefore I declare myself the main sinner, since I bring you a lot of ✨ABS✨ content
Erika doesn't feel so good at Koori's party because of the Genkaku mission, especially because of Edgard's death. She's depressed a little bit yet, therefore she goes to the hundred years cherry tree where she can be alone, far away from the crowd.
Lance goes after her and therefore they can speak with each other calmly. Erika after a while, bursts into tears, and when Lance sees that, maybe he hugs her or gently touch Erika's arm or do something cute to reassure her.
Really, really want a cute illustration with these two. 🥺
Well finally, chapter 10 is here sooner than expected ! Happy reading my friends 💕
Chapter 10 : You are very far from the account, my beautiful
- I've been doing quite a bit of research on the powers of aengels and dragons since the other night, and there is something I would like to try. But for that, you have to trust me a minimum.
- All right, tell me what to do.
Without warning, Lance grabbed my hand and held it in his, this one made slightly rough by its semi-transformation. He had no say in letting me understand what he was waiting for. Closing my eyes, I focused on the now familiar tingling sensations of the contact of his skin against mine. The latter, still weak, ran through my fingers with a pleasant feeling. It was soft, almost natural, as if my palm had only waited for this contact to finally feel completely itself.
Locked in the cold huge cage of his tanned hand, my fingers began to vibrate slightly as the comforting warmth of my powers began to roam my arm. One against the other, our palms seemed to constantly counterbalance two radically opposed temperatures, struggling to find a happy medium. Strangely, I felt soothed by this sudden contrast akin to a duel of fire and ice. It was a reflection of our interactions, at Lance and me.
Complex, yet intense.
When my light finally diffused through our fingers, I felt its quiver slightly as it gradually grew more confident. I visualized it penetrating his skin, running through his muscles, up to his arm. Exactly like his ice had done on my body two days earlier.
A slight breath escaped his lips, which made me open my eyes again and, for a moment, I couldn't take my gaze from the smile that marked his face.
A proud smile, and above all sincere.
I couldn't stop my lips from echoing his. My powers thus awakened, I felt fully myself, and it was powerful, exhilarating. My light took on vividness, of a color with equally warm hues, marking the skin of the dragon in multiple streaks similar to mine, like a multitude of beams of light. I could see my energy pouring into him, running through his veins, marking every one of his pores.
Suddenly, his ice mingled with my heat. The fine lines of lights that ran through his arm multiplied into new ones in bluish hues, these seeming more vivid than mine. With astonishment, I discovered them running through me in turn. Slowly, as if trying to perfectly marry those already existing, mingling with dissonance on my pale skin.
I was totally hypnotized by the spectacle that presented itself to me, so much so that it took me a while to notice that Lance had loosened his grip to come and let his fingers run languidly over my wrist, thus tracing invisible shapes against my skin. Several shivers ran through me under his slow movements and I wasn't sure he himself noticed what he was doing. Closing my eyes for a moment, I focused on the gentle, yet sure, movements the dragon made. So, as with Leiftan, I thought I felt an emotion that was not mine. A light feeling, close to admiration. Confused, I opened my eyelids and looked into his blue eyes.
Lance hadn't taken his eyes off me.
He suddenly understood what had just happened. Pulling on my wrist, he pulled me closer to him, bringing his lips to the hollow of my ear.
- Who allowed you to enter my head, little human ? he whispered to me.
His voice, both sweet and teasing, sent a shiver running down my spine. So I could feel his breath against my neck and knowing him so close to me made me both nervous and languid.
- It's you who is far too easy to read, I had nothing to do with it.
His weak laugh, with much more hoarse intonations than usual, grabbed all my attention.
- How did you do that ?
- I don’t know how to explain it. It happens to me sometimes in Leiftan's presence since we fought together, but I didn't think it was possible with anyone else.
The dragon imperceptibly contracted its jaws at the hearing of the aengel's first name.
- I see. Again, it's probably because of this exchange of powers, he told me, pausing a little before resuming, a slightly more sullen tone. So does that mean you feel his emotions ?
- It happens sometimes, yes, I answered him innocently.
He let out a much less jovial laugh as he leaned on the dresser behind him, his back arched slightly in my direction. Never breaking the link between our skins, he nonchalantly put his hand that still held mine on one of his thighs, his palm up, leaving me free to withdraw it if I wished.
- I guess he's still overflowing with sweet feelings for you.
I gave him a heavy look, which he answered with a vague shrug.
- Don't look at me like that, you had to be blind not to see what he felt for you. I remind you that I spent a lot of time with him and I can assure you that he only had your name in his mouth.
It’s true that Ashkore and Leiftan had been allies, there was a time.
I realized that, when he behaved so relaxed around me, like a moment ago, Lance sometimes managed to make me forget this tumultuous past that we shared. And I had to admit that these moments, however fleeting they were, were sometimes pleasant.
- Nothing ever happened between Leiftan and me, his feelings have always been one-sided and to be honest, I think he felt that much because I was like him. What's more, I was with Nevra at that time.
My interlocutor observed me for a moment without saying anything.
- Andraste, you can believe me when I tell you that he fell madly in love with you the moment you arrived. It's not just a matter of race, although I can understand that it sounds appealing. I myself was curious as to why you were so important to him, but I came to understand that he was just really infatuated with you. On the other hand, I'm intrigued that you still feel his emotions if this phenomenon dates from the battle, he added.
I pondered his words. Leiftan's feelings for me troubled me, I didn't know what to think.
- I don’t know what to tell you. Maybe spending the last few years together in the Crystal has brought us closer together, who knows ?
Lance winced slightly at hearing the theory that didn't seem to please him much, it seemed.
How was it possible that I could feel their deepest emotions, and most importantly, why didn't they seem to feel mine in return ? I didn't understand a thing. I had convinced myself that this was the result of our aengel powers, but why was this also happening with the dragon ?
Our conversation having distracted me, I realized that my light still continued to shine weakly on his skin, running under the sleeve of his top. And it was... simple. Without any effort to provide. I then remembered a detail. During our training several days ago, when my powers had reactivated as anger had risen in me, their color had turned whitish, totally cold. While at this precise moment, the latter shone a much more orange hue, pouring a pleasant sensation down my muscles. Did my emotions interfere with the process ?
Catching me off guard, Lance pulled on my wrist and pulled me even closer to him. So brought together, I could make out every detail of the scales that dotted her neck and jaw, they bewitching me with their almost unreal shades.
- I don’t hide from you that I don’t hope that it’s the case, he said to me in a deep and low voice, making my heart beat a little faster without me knowing why.
- And why is that, exactly ?
His gaze became more penetrating. He raised an eyebrow as I leaned in a little more, until I in turn came to press my lips close to his ear.
- Oh by the way, if you could stop calling me "little human" when you light up the room with my powers, I added lower.
I felt his lips widen against me as he slid a hand through my hair to reposition it behind my ear.
- A human with two or three powers, at most. I wait a little better to be blown away.
Angered, I pulled back to slap him on the shoulder with my free hand. Lance rubbed the affected area before laughing frankly at my daring.
- You are easily offended.
- And you should avoid letting your guard down in my presence, you know that I tend to get carried away a little.
- I thought I noticed it, indeed. But I guess I tend to like it myself, he said with a mischievous sneer.
We stared at each other for several long seconds, a silly smile stuck on our faces as our hands seemed unwilling to let go. Positioned in this way, our bodies standing far too close to each other to remain conventional, I felt strangely relaxed. And when his eyes suddenly drifted lower, peering down at my mouth with some undisguised curiosity, I found myself wondering what would happen if our lips met. If the simple contact of our skin had such virtues, what would it be in the face of more privacy ? I had the impression that each of my emotions was heightened tenfold in his presence, and like an addiction, I had this impression always wanting more, never to be entirely satisfied.
Lance seemed to recover and I was surprised to see his scales slowly resorbing.
- We're going to stop there for tonight, he said softly as he began to regain his human form.
His skin finally returned to its usual appearance and quickly, no more draconian attributes marked Lance's body.
Cautiously letting go of my hand, he let his fingers run along my skin until only emptiness caught up with me. The broken link, our powers diminished in liveliness, descending the lines drawn on our respective skins in the opposite direction, to the tips of our fingers. Disappearing totally, I felt a cold suddenly embrace me as the warmth of my light and the coldness of his ice no longer caressed me.
I was cold for the first time since waking up, and I felt that as I left Lance's coolness.
The dragon leaned a little more against the edge of the dresser and observed me for a moment without saying anything, as if lost in an internal reflection that he didn’t seem to want to share with me. Suddenly, he raised an arm and came to rub a loving hand through my hair, catching me totally off guard.
- Well done, Andraste. I had my doubts you'd make it, but ultimately I'm impressed, he told me as he slowly pulled his fingers away from my scalp, pouting mockingly.
I crossed my arms, an eyebrow raised in annoyance.
- You really don't have any hope in me, actually.
His soft laughter echoed again as he finally pulled away from his prop. Leaning over me once again, his large figure towering over me completely, he whispered to me, like a secret :
- If you knew what I think of you... you are very far from the account, my beautiful.
I stirred the content of my mug with a little spoon, and I watched carefully the people that were having breakfast in the cantine. It had been a few more than a week since my encounter with Lance, and just as Huang Hua said, he had been avoiding me as much as I had been. I didn't run on him in the alleyways, and even though he was my boss, I never showed up in the obsidian guard training.
When I finished my hot chocolate, I left the mug in the kitchen, thanked Karuto and while I was heading to my room, a voice that I knew far too well stopped me on my track.
— Erika. – Yeah, it was too good to be true. I grimaced and turned back with reluctance to face that cold eyes of his, that were carefully watching me. Instead of saying something, I waited for him to be the one starting the conversation.
— Since you rejoined the obsidian guard, you haven't come to train and you haven't done your chores either. If you keep it like this, you won't pass the evaluation. – Ah, yes, the so-called evaluation. If it hasn't changed during all these years, last time I did a pretty good job if I say so myself. But now, although I had been training with Jamon and even Mathieu, my skills couldn't be compared with the ones that used to have before going into the Crystal.
– Well, if I'm not mistaken, I'm not the only one that doesn't do the chores of her guard. Mathieu is all the time with the members of the obsidian guard and it doesn't seem like a big deal.
He raised an eyebrow, nonchalant, while I bit my lip and looked the other way. I recognize it was an awful, childish tactic, but there was no way that I was agreeing with him.
— If it helps you sleep at night, be my guest. You were the one that chose to come back instead of staying in the light guard. — "Because I didn't know that you would be my damn boss" I would have liked to answer him, but instead of saying so, I just puffed. — Follow me.
— To where?
— The market. I guess Jamón didn't finish showing you the kinds of materials and complements that you should use, so while I pick up some stuff that the guard needs, I'll finish showing you.
I puffed for a second time, and since I wasn't complaining, he began to lead the way. Even though his steps were far bigger than mine, he slowed down to match my steps, so I wouldn't be walking behind him but at his side.
— Don't you have better things to do? Guard chiefs don't usually do this stuff. You could have just sent someone.
–— Indeed, they don't usually do these tasks. Today's the day off of a lot of people, including myself, but I don't mind going down the market and picking up a few things that are needed. — Was he using his free time to do boring tasks? Wow, he definitely didn't have a lot of friends.
While we were roaming the market, he explained to me, clearly and calmly, the armor parts most suitable for me, how they were fitted, the lightest materials, their maintenance and a few other things that I had asked out of curiosity. It was very weird being with Lance this way; walking without being threatened, with a knife at my neck, watching how people approached and talked to him… Everything was so normal that it even annoyed me a bit.
— Do you want me to carry anything? — It wasn't much, but they seemed heavy and it was true that I could have helped more with my chores. He looked at me slightly surprised, and shook his head.
— No, thanks. It's not necessary.
— But it looks heavy. — He chuckled and smiled briefly.
— It's that what you're worried about, Erika? Do you think that I'm not strong enough to lift a bunch of things? — I felt the heat of my cheeks, and hit myself mentally for the stupidity that I had just said. Of course he was strong enough if he could have lifted me over a cliff with one single hand.
I didn't say much more and accompanied him to the warehouse. During all the way, we were in silence, not an awkward silence but a comfortable one. I did help him this time to set every piece in its place. That place was very unorganized, and we decided to put some order in it.
— Seriously, this place is an awful mess.
— I know. Everytime I come I try to tidy up the place, but order isn't part of the obsidian guard members' qualities. — I slipped a small smile and went to leave a helmet on a shelf. — Watch out!
Before I could react, I tripped over some shoulder pads that were on the ground, and just before falling flat on my face, Lance appeared like a ninja at my side grabbing me by the arm and pulling me up. I turned my head to take a look at his touch and then his face. When he noticed my stare and that he had touched me, he pulled back his hand abruptly.
— I… I'm sorry, are you ok?
— Yes, I'm fine. Why do you care about me? — He thought about it for a seconds before answering me.
— It's my job.
— And do you like your job? Are you happy to be the head of the Obsidian Guard again? — I sat on the top of a box and he did the same with another one that was in front of me.
— It's not about whether I like it or not. Huang Hua needed someone with experience and I was the best suited for the position, although it's weird that you're asking me that question. — I swallowed uncomfortably and hugged one of my knees, resting my chin on top of it.
- I… I don't hate you Lance. - Unable to meet his gaze, I looked at the ground as it hid the most interesting secrets of Eldarya. - I'm actually incapable of hating you.
And that was true. My blood boiled every time I thought about the last thing I saw before entering the Crystal, but the truth is that I couldn't bring myself to hate him. Especially after Valkyon had asked me to try to go easy on him. Lance was prepared to die with this world, and not only did he not achieve his goal, but he lost what little he had left.
— Before walking into the Crystal, I could see a bit of what was going on in the meantime. I saw Kero and Miiko talking about abandoning the guard, Ezarel leaving… and I also got to talk to Valkyon.
— What ... What did my brother tell you? — This time I did lift my gaze to meet his blue stare, which had abandoned its calm facade and was stained with remorse and guilt.
— Your brother doesn't hold a grudge against you, Lance. He was prepared to die, and when he sacrificed, he found peace. He just hopes that one day you can forgive yourself, and he asked me not to be too hard on you. Although as you can tell, I didn't really try.
He looked devastated, and then, more than ever, I could definitely check that it was true how much he had changed. The Lance I once knew, full of fury and passion, had disappeared. It was as if only the ashes of the great fire that had pushed him to do everything he had pulled through remained.
— I'm going. I promised the Purreks that I would help them out. If you need help to tidy up this place, let me know. - I got up and hurried out of the warehouse before he could give me an answer. It was better to give him space and time after the conversation we had had.
I still have hope Lance could become a LI. There are too much clues. Beemoov didn’t draw him deeply bad, he is a character with many shades. He is full of anger, of hatred. But he fells these emotions just because he is alone. And I think you know, “a dragon alone in the world is a dangerous thing” ;)
Let me recap.
Lance born in a volcano. When he got out of his egg, he was alone. No parents, no brother yet (Valkyon was still in his egg), this could traumatize the poor child he was. Next of that, his brother born. They decided to leave the island and start their lives in a little town.
He lived peacefully there, in the kind town. But he felt his first disappointment. While he started to master his dragon powers, his own brother refused to become what he is, he refused his dragon nature, what united them. So the Lance’s loneliness got worse. He had the feeling he was the only dragon in this dragon, he hadn’t any dragon family or any congener who could help him to understand what he is and how to master his powers. Lance is emotional, we could see this in the episode 26 when he was angry rapidly, and the bad feelings make him crazy, because he is blinded by anger and hatred, he loses his discernment. And this information is essential to understand the dragon.
So Lance and Valkyon lived in the little town, then they lived in the fenghuang temple, and they decided to join the Eel Guard. Everywhere Lance was very popular (not only with the women ;) ). I have the feeling he was a good mentor, someone who could help you to become the best version of you (and I hope in the future he could help Erika to master her powers, and not to be afraid about them). And this is how he managed to become a chief guard. But this advancement, this popularity didn’t delete his feeling of loneliness and his misunderstanding (why his parents sacrificed themselves ? Why he is still alive ? Why his parents didn’t sacrifice him at the same time ? Many questions and no dragon to answer it). Lance is a clever man (he knows many things, he knows how to master his powers, he knows the ancient Greek, he read of lot of books, etc.), and he wanted to know everything about the Blue Sacrifice, he wanted to understand. That’s why he spent several days in the archives, he learned many things about the Sacrifice but it was not enough. He started to read evertything about the dragon, and it’s at this moment he learned about the obliged sacrifice of the last dragons by the faeries, the genocide perpetrated against the last descendants of dragons. It was the straw that broke the camel. He had the feeling his loneliness is the consequence of the actions of faeries. He didn’t have any dragon family or any congener just because of them. He had the feeling the sacrifice of his parents was vain because they protected monsters. Thus Lance has become blinded by his anger and his hatred, all he wants is to destroy this world because this world killed his parents who sacrificed themselves to create it and because this world is full of traitors, of monsters, of killers who don’t deserve his parents’ sacrifice.
This is how the nice Lance became the bad Lance. Lance decided to join the dark side. And his first decision was to destroy the Crystal. During his first attempt, he failed to destroy it completely. But he met an unexpected ally ... Leiftan. Leiftan doesn’t want to destroy the crystal, that’s why I think the two bad guys met during this event (Leiftan was the one who “succeed to repulse Lance”). Leiftan succeed to convince Lance not to destroy the crystal, and to become his ally. He promised him he could bring back to life the great dragons, so his parents. So Leiftan brought hope to Lance, he could not be alone anymore. That’s why he decided to become his partner. But Leiftan manipulated Lance, he fueled his hatred against faeries, he became a bomb (that’s why Leiftan wanted to eliminate him before he exploded).
Then Erika arrived on Eldarya. First, she was a funny curious thing to Lance. Later she became a possible ally (that’s why he decided to reveal her some informations the guard tried hiding her). Then, she became an obstacle when he realized Leiftan didn’t want to execute their plan because it meant to kill her because she was the chosen one by the Oracle. Thus he betrayed Leiftan, thus he tried again to destroy the Crystal, thus his hatred amplified, thus the bomb exploded.
When he kidnapped Erika, he started to appreciate her, she was kind like the inhabitants of the little town (if you decided to be nice with him). There is an important thing about the episode 26, Lance belongs to the dark side, but he has still a light side in him (we could see this when he covered Erika with a blanket, when he gave her some water, when he talked to her on the cliff and she could see in his eyes he was sorry for everythink, and in the episode 28 he doesn’t want the kappas genocide, the situation escaped from his control). But in the end of the episode 26, Erika betrayed him, she became a traitor like any member of the guard, that’s why he tried to kill her.
Then he managed to escape Memoria with his brother. He wanted his brother to join him in his fight, but he was, once again, disappointed by him. Valkyon decided to join the guard side. The Lance’s hatred got worse, he was betrayed by his own family.
Lance is not a real bad, evil character. He is just a lost character, who felt lonely, betrayed ... But we have clues he could join the light side again. I hope he could see his mother and talk to her. To my mind it is the only way to help this character to join the light. I hope the Erika’s vision in episode 29 means the Leiftan’s plan will be applied, and the dragons could be brought back to life. Lance, thanks to his mother, could join the light side, he could have a fantastic redemptive bow (like Leiftan). Then he could also become an LI.
If you agree with me about the Lance’s future as a LI, you could join us on @welovelance, the (French) FC of Lance. Nothing is over, the battle begins ! Join the Lance army !
Hello! I came back a little late to bring all you my drawing about the Birthday of our beloved ice dragon and of course it is a drawing with GARDIENNE!
(For a bit of context I just imagined Lance and Gardienne trying to be loving in public places without getting caught.😳😳😳)
