    The matte black Maserati GranTurismo S pulled up to the front doors of the hotel as the young  successor stepped out from the vehicle before straightening the jacket of his suit. He looked towards the younger male before tossing him the keys to the imported sports car. “Go park it.” The male nodded in response before bowing down to Myungsoo. A small sigh escaped his lips as she walked into the luxurious building. Another meeting he had been told to attend by his father. Myungsoo truthfully had no interest in these meetings but his father thought it would be good for him to be able to experience what his future had in store for him. 

    The young male continued across the lobby of the memorable hotel before stopping in front of an elevator. Myungsoo always spent his time here as a child as he never enjoyed staying home, so he would always accompany his father on his meetings. The  clicking of heels against the tiled floors snapped him out of his trance as he turned to see a young exceptionally beautiful lady beside him.

"I see… not your style." she takes the plate and places a smaller one with a chocolate dessert decorating the center of such delicate plate. "Blind date, is this what it is?" not wanting to interfere with his life but curious about the whole situation.

He’s sure as hell starting to wish he was blind. “Blind, gagged, with my hands tied behind my back.” Alexander smiles gratefully at the dessert. At least he can distract himself from the incessant tapping of nails across a smartphone screen. What did people do before phones? His date says something about the restroom and excuses herself. A feeling of pure relief floods through his being, as if he’s been holding his breath this whole time. “If she makes a break for freedom through the bathroom window, I’ll start going to church, because miracles do happen.”

"Go to Germany and have kids together "

“I’m afraid I can’t stomach the wurst over there, let alone speak the language.” He pushes a plate full of half eaten German cuisine away from him, glancing from the stranger to his so-called ‘date’. Sitting next to him is an immaculately preened woman, hair pulled back into a bun so tight she’ll never need Botox. Manicured fingernails tap across the screen of a ridiculously large smartphone as she shows as little interest in Alexander as possible. Mothers, although they have nothing but the best interests of their children at heart, can be worse than the most meddlesome of people. The third blind date this month. He sighs and rubs the bridge of his nose. They don’t say ‘the road to hell is paved with good intentions’ for nothing after all. “I’m tempted to just send her over there alone,” he slyly remarks, the words just loud enough for the stranger to hear.

Oh were you there?? I mean, I’m not good at picking out faces from the crowd with all the lights so.. [/He rubbed the back of his neck shyly and chuckled.]
