“Wood Stoves and Weed Sticks”
-----
It’s been nearly five years since I made that last post. Since then, I’ve stopped traveling.
I moved to a small town in Northern California and started working on a free land project for the free range people of the world.
As of yesterday--the first day of 2019--I now live indoors. It has been nearly 7 years since I've had a home of my own--not a hotel, a basement or a couch, not a tent or a hammock or a mat on the floor of a raised bamboo bungalow.
This is a house.
A real house. One where hot water flows from the faucets, and the bathrooms are connected to bedrooms--no longer do I need to tiptoe over frosted grounds to pee in the middle of the night--now I run across cold tile floor to a toilet who flushes and the sink who spits out water, even when its frozen outside.
My hardened exterior melts in the glow of the wood stove with its logs perfectly stacked and flaming.
