Henry Taylor Lamb, MC, RA (1883-1960). Australian-born British. Founder member of the Camden Town Group. Studied at the Chelsea School of Art,1906, abandoning his medical studies to do so, then in Paris. Resumed medical studies in WW1, returning to painting thereafter. Appointed an official war artist in December 1940. Prolific portrait painter, also producing a considerable number of landscapes.
