This is it! A milestone and a dream come true for me. Our group exhibit, entitled “UpDate” opens tonight, 6PM at Art Anton, Conrad Hotel. The story behind my work, The Landscape of Souls, is about my journey to wholeness. I am an artist swayed to the world of entrepreneurship by accident. Managing a creative agency for 13 years has molded me and allowed me to cultivate the other side of my brain. It has been wonderful, but a string in my heart kept pulling me to go back to my roots. And so I did. This work of art is about diving into the unknown and going beyond my comfort zone. It is about two opposing forces harmoniously completing a whole. The land embodies calmness, structure and certainty — embracing the rigidity of rules and strategic planning. The water weaves the raging ideas, curiousity and impulsiveness. Like the Yin and Yang, each artwork is seemingly oblivious to its pair. The Landscape of Souls are two pairs of diptych with the element of one in the other. The artworks may be separated and may find home in different places, but the pairs will always be connected. I believe in Serendipity. Two souls may be in different worlds but there will always be something that connects them. “There is an internal landscape, a geography of the soul; we search for its outlines all our lives.
