Today's class was about trees... and the hardest part for students was breaking a habit of painting round green circles on a brown stick... once students took their time to observe the real shapes and tried to replicate the character of a specific tree rather than painting what they think a tree looks like, they found that achieving realism is easier than they thought 😉 Being a realist painter has a lot to do with seeing things as they are and not what we think they should be... #oilpainting #oilpainter #oilartist #oilteacher #oilsketch #nature #paintingnature #paintingtrees #landscapepainting #teachingart #artworkshop #landscapeworkshop
