My favourite quest is Landsmeet. Maybe because we get to decide the fate of Ferelden... And I really love the part in which I’m rescued by our companions! The fight with Loghain is also neat!
During the Landsmeet in Dragon Age: Origins, the Warden can betray Alistair and force a marriage between him and Anora while sparing Loghain. Alistair must be hardened and you'll need to persuade him into accepting.
During the Landsmeet in Dragon Age: Origins, Human Male Nobles or Couslands have the option to marry Anora and become Prince Consort. In this version, Alistair kills Loghain.

After recovering at the conclusion of The Urn of Sacred Ashes, Arl Eamon of Redcliffe proposes calling the Landsmeet in order to end the civil war and wrest control of the crown and its armies from Loghain Mac Tir, by petitioning the assembled lords and ladies of the Bannorn to acknowledge Alistair (revealed as Maric Theirin's bastard son) as the rightful ruler of Ferelden, thus uniting the remaining armies of Ferelden with the forces the Warden has gathered with the Grey Warden treaties for a final onslaught against the Blight.
Once the Warden has gathered all possible allies with the Grey Warden treaties, Eamon will call for the Landsmeet to convene, at which point the Warden, Alistair, and their companions relocate to Eamon's estate in Denerim.
Alistair rules
Alistair, half-brother to King Cailan, stepped up to become the new king of Ferelden, continuing a long line of kings from his bloodline.

He proved quite popular with the people, his humor and easy grace winning them over as much as his willingness to sneak out of the castle and mingle in the lower-class taverns on occasion.”

Alistair, half brother to King Cailan, married Anora Mac Tir, daughter of Teyrn Loghain Mac Tir, forging a powerful, if somewhat distant, political alliance with their marriage.

Alistair spent a great deal of time at court, showing willingness to learn the art of governing from Anora and often deferring to her judgment--and no one was more surprised by this than Anora herself.”

Many said the chaos of the civil war and Landsmeet were worth it for delivering such beloved monarchs.”

Trade agreements with other lands quickly brought new funds into the royal coffers, and with them, the queen saw the capital rebuilt. The army was restored, laws were passed to encourage freeholders to produce sufficient harvests, and plans were conceived for a university.”

“Despite Loghain being executed in disgrace, Queen Anora insisted on building a monument to her father, overlooking the Orlesian embassy. The statue was largely ignored, save by Anora herself, who voyaged out to the statue once a year to place flowers at its feet.”

Hiii I was wondering, what causes the option of creating a new landsmeet to be locked off?
I got to that point and couldn't choose it. Of course being me, with great reluctance I restarted the whole thing from chapter 1; made sure not to use any of the words of power, got my willpower and mind stats up, even chose to be an Elementalist just to finally get to the same option and wanted to cry because- even after all that, I still couldn't choose it. Is it cause my MC is an A-hole lmao?? 😂
Will I have to replay it with a heart of gold? or is that choice just not available in general?
Hi there, you can't suggest creating a new Landsmeet if the Shepherds don't know you have the Words of Power, so it sounds like you chose not to tell them about it in Chapter 3! This post has a bit more detail regarding that, but hopefully that helps you--sorry that you had to start over again! 😭
I gotta be honest. I started dragon age origins like twice with different characters, made a whole new character simply to romance Morrigan, and then eventually went online to see stuff about the game after playing all the way through inquisition and I think I majorly fucked up. Not only did I have to kill zevran because his crow dudes showed up in denerim to ambush my party, but I also have never found stem (?? I'm sorry I don't remember his name I hope that's right) but I had to replay it so many times because the choices I made at the landsmeet made everyone hate me and Alistair left so I reloaded so anora was queen. I feel like I fucked this game up in every way possible. Also, in my very first playthrough I ended up going the route of killing the child (Collin?) In redcliffe and felt awful, never figured out the party camp thing, so three quarters of the way through that playthrough I finally stop at camp and Alistair ambushed me about the redcliffe debacle and was very angry (understandable).
