語学学習Q&Aアプリ「HiNative」を運営するLang-8は10月5日、京都大学イノベーションキャピタル、East Ventures、ディー・エヌ・エーの3社および個人投資家の千葉功太郎氏と元Zynga共同創業者のJustin Waldron氏ら、個人投資家数名を引受先とした第三者割当増資を実施したことを公表した。調達した資金は総額で2億円、株式比率や払込日などの詳細は非公開。

同社の運営するHiNativeは2014年11月の公開以降、じわじわとユーザーを掴み、2016年7月末には登録ユーザー数で約20万人に到達。「年内の50万人という数字が見えてきた」と以前の取材で同社代表取締役の喜洋洋氏は本誌取材に答えていた。

また、Q&Aサービスに重要な質問と回答数については、9月末時点で質問数が96万件、回答数は340万件となっている。対応言語数は12…

so i just started using lang8 to help with my japanese and people are like.. theyre all so nice so far?? :’) one person even went so far as to translate the english parts of my posts into japanese so i could see what they looked like! i cant wait to start taking some classes irl to make actual posts in actual japanese lmao

So, yesterday I made an account on Memrise, Duolingo and Lang8. If anyone is interested, we can be friends there! Or not. As you prefer.

By the way, I really like all of them! The first two are really helpful for pronunciating and “getting started” with the language, while the latter is the best to practice! I already wrote two texts, both promptly corrected by native Germans. Well, by the same native German, called Rudolf, who is kind enough to watch my brutal assassination of adjectives’ conjugation and not try to track down where I live and punish me for my crimes.
