Homework: French, AP Lang

Reading: 1984 by George Orwell (continuing for a while)

I love learning French and all, but when I get a paper back that I worked pretty hard on and didn’t use Google Translate at all and it comes back with more pink ink from Mme’s pen than black ink from my printer, it makes me a bit bummed. But I made her sit with me and talk through how to fix everything that was wrong, and I should be getting a better grade with this revision!

Also I was holding back any expectations for 1984 but now that I’m reading it, it’s super interesting! I was super excited to start reading it (I’ve been meaning to, and when it was an option this month for AP Lang I knew I just had to!) and I’m glad it isn’t some weird classic that I barely understand.

Français, allemand, chinois, italien, et espanhol. Je rêve d’un jour parler plusieurs d’autres langues, mais je pense que celles-ci sont las que je veux plus.

this is so sad you guys. i am shocked. i love her so much not only as an actress bu as an inspiration for accomplishing things and even learning French. she is incredible. i was just thinking about her the other day. may she rest in peace.
