A: How are you coping?
B: Me? Oh, I restarted learning Chinese and Korean, but another *major life event* happened so now I'm studying Chinese, Korean and Japanese altogether.

I'm so sad and anxious. My sister gave me the flu (on the day of my birthday, yay) and I had to reschedule the appointment with my therapist (the only available spot was two weeks after the original date).
And I feel so tense, on the verge of exploding, but I'm alone, as I always am. And I felt like that already, even before rescheduling the appointment, I needed that hour, and now because of the flu I have to wait so much. When I'll see my therapist it will be more than a month after I saw him last.
You don't need to go to the gym, assembling IKEA forniture will leave you out of breath the same .
Just wanting to overshare about my new Japanese stationery...
Today I bought these items and I just wanted to share why everything about them is different from every stationary item I've bought so far here in Europe.
First of all the packaging. This was the front. It was really easy to open and you could easily open it without damaging the packaging (!!!)
This was the back. Everything is described neatly, there's written the material of each of the items and everything is written in big characters and in a language only.
Coming to the items. The eraser cap is so useful. The pencil sharpener is solid and is made with a good material. The three animal erasers (iwaka) are really soft, their colours are so bright and you can disassemble and reassemble them!
Proof:
Yesterday felt like my life was a film (not in the beautiful way, quite the opposite, I would say one of those films where a lot of awful things happen to the main character but those things are branded as funny).
I went to the post office by bike (it's faster! ) and while I was waiting in line my head started to spin and I felt really awful. I thought "how lucky I came here by bike, I'll be home in 15 minutes!".
My turn comes, I do everything I had to do, I go out, take the key for my bike locker out, turn the key and then it happens... My key broke inside the locker! And I had locked my bike on a pole. So I started to panic because I knew that you can't leave the bike in front of the post office for too much time if you don't want the police to come take your bike and make you pay.
And it was hot, really hot. I couldn't do anything so I walked home (I was dizzy, it was so humid and hot). I searched online what to do and the only suggestion that seemed reasonable (and something I could do) was to bring tweezers with me and my double key. So I could take out the broken key from the locker with the tweezers and then use the double key to open the locker.
Again, it was hot. So hot. And I felt unwell, so I rested for two hours at home. I then walked for thirty minutes under that hot sun and freed my bike (miraculously).
What happened next? I hopped on my bike and, I'm not kidding, a strong wind started to blow (it would have been useful if it had started when I was walking), obviously it blew in the opposite direction I was going to, so biking was more difficult. The sky was blue, but in a matter of seconds dark clouds appeared and it started to rain.
Me to my therapist: my social anxiety is not that bad!
Me after a week: hiding in the garage for half an hour to avoid meeting a "family friend".
[02.04.24] Making some silly drawings while studying Korean helps me memorize everything better. Today I learnt sino Korean numbers from 6 to 10 and pure Korean numbers from 1 to 3. Sino Korean numbers work like Chinese numbers and sound really similar to them.
For the first time in months (or maybe years) I've read for the whole afternoon. My head hurts, I feel a little dizzy, but I must admit I missed this feeling so much. It was like being a child again.
