Asexuality in autistic people are real too, so character with that trait isn't being infantilized.
It's weird that when it comes to asexuality people often associate it with "not being an adult". Not having sex / not enjoying it does not mean that person is childlike. Sex doesn't equal adulthood.
This is about a certain post on The Pitt's Kingdon ship.
And I don't think the portrayal of Becca's sexual activity is being played for laugh either, it's actually pretty respectful, and also informative for people who doesn't know a lot about autism.
Speaking as a grown ass adult who is ace and autistic. And feeling strange that when I want to think of Kingdon as a platonic ship, it's called ablelism and infantilization.
I understand that people are tired of stereotypical way of portraying autism, ie them being savant and not interest in "adult" normal things like sex, but that is clearly not the case here, as seen with Becca and Mel. If you are pissed off that your ship might not be canon, just say so and move on, don't use left language as a scapegoat.
