Crushes
Lance gad a terrible feeling. They were investigating an old abandoned blade facility. Their little family had expanded by a lot. With the MFE pilots and Atlas, Which was piloted by Shiro. The crew being Veronica, Coran, Romelle, Krolia, all three Holts, and Kolivan. As well as Adam who they found alive in a dessert on earth. However at the moment Voltron and the MFE pilots were planet side on a moon.
Lance would admit he wasn’t the smartest of the group. But even he knewThat the building they were in, the building that was half on fire, was most likely going to cave in any second.
“G-guys? We should probably go now.” He voiced his opinion in an unsure tone. Both James and Keith brushed him off and continued leading the two teams into a room. The two leaders had started dating just a little after they all left earth. And Lance was hopelessly in love with both of them.
Lance saw what was going to happen before anyone else. He pushed Kinkade and Pidge out from under the door just in time for that whole half of the ceiling came down.

Keith coughed himself awake and blinked. The room they were in had caved in. Luckily they had begun making their way into a new room. The force of the three stories of rubble had however caused them all to at least fall.
“James?!” Keith called frantically.
“Keith? Are you ok?” James replied from behind him. Keith turned around to see James helping Hunk up. Next to him Leifsdottir was checking over Allura who was unconscious.
“Yeah I’m fine lets do a head count and call in to Shiro. We’re going to need help getting out of here.” Keith took another look around and decided a head count was best.
“Ok Leif?”
“Here!”
“Good Allura?”
“Mild concussion, but here.” Leifsdottir replied for her.
“Ok Rizavi?”
“Over here!” He turned to see her helping Pidge.
“Pidge checking in! Shiros on his way.” Pidge responded as well.
“Good Kinkade Check in.”
“I’m here but my leg is stuck I need help.”
“Ok we’re coming.”
Everyone crowded around him. He must have been the closest to the cave in because his leg was stuck under the rubble. They managed to get him out easily enough though and went back to their head count. Only missing one person. Kinkade however stayed sitting on the floor next to the rubble.
“Wait wheres lance?” James asked Keith.
Just them the most ungodly shriek came from Kinkade. They all turned to see a hand shape coming out of the hole where Kinkades leg was stuck. The hand was almost unrecognizable as the skin was mostly melted off.
“Lance was behind us! He pushed us out of the way!” Pidge exclaimed. “Oh god he’s under there.”
“We have to get him out! Pidge tell Shiro what happened. We’re gonna need medical immediately.” Keith ordered as everyone else made their way to remove the rubble.
Soon they uncovered Lances arm. Which led to his face. There was a searing metal pipe extremely close to his eye. Next was his torso. They could see his skinny frame being punctured by broken ribs. his back arching in a way it shouldn’t. Most likely from the weight of the rubble. His other hand seemed to be in the same shape as the first. His legs however were the worst of it. They looked almost flat up to mid thigh.
after they uncovered him everything went by in a blur. The Atlas came and Krolia, Shiro, and Matt came in to retrieve them. When they got back to the Atlas Lance was rushed into the med bay. Coran said that surgery would have to be preformed before he could be put into a pod.
So by the time everyone else was out of the pods Coran, Krolia, and Sam Holt were just putting Lance in. However none of them were aloud to see him till he got out.
Sam came to give them the overall damage.
“I regret to inform you of your friends conditions. But I assume you want to know. We will go from the top to the bottom. Lance has suffered from a concussion however no lasting brain damage will occur. His left eye suffered severe damage and will no longer be able to see. The skin around the eye was extremely burned. Both of his shoulders were shattered and will require physical therapy. His hands, both of them, were burned to the bone. Sadly they could not be saved and we had to amputate. His ribs were shattered as well and they punctured his right ling... His back.. He will be lucky if he can move from the waist down. His legs were crushed beyond repair. We had to amputate form mid thigh down. He is in a pod now which will fix any breaks. He will be in there for a month at the least-”
“So we have at least a month to make him prosthetic’s. We need an eye Hands, and Legs. We also need to replace his vertebrae so he can use his new legs. Come on Hunk! Allura I need you to I need you to use your alchemy to help power the prosthetic’s” Pidge cut her father off.
And with that the Atlas crew, the MFE pilots, and team Voltron started working on fixing their broken team mate.
One month later they replaces Lances vertebrae. He hadn’t been ready to come out of the pod though so they put him back in. A week later they took the boy out again to install his eye. Then another month later they attached his limbs. Then finally, finally! The pod opened up on its own. Three months after he was put into it, it let him out. The entire crew was there for it.
