cis man: I’m exclusively romantically attracted to women.
inclusionists: You’re not queer? That’s called being straight??
cis man: — but I’m only sexually attracted to them after I form an emotional bond.
inclusionists: HOLY SHIT now THAT’S queer

True Facts
If you’re Asexual/Aromantic and still experience similar-gender attractions, you are LGBT
If you are Asexual/Aromantic and are trans (binary or NB), you are LGBT
If you are CISgender HETeromantic (cis-het) Asexual, you are not LGBT
If you are CISgender HETerosexual (also cis-het) Aromantic, you are not LGBT
Literally no-one has ever lost their home or job simply because they’re Ace/Aro, but otherwise cis-het
Women of ALL sexualities are victims of sexual harassment, including loss of employment, home, or even life when they refuse sex with men – this is in no way unique to the asexual community. It is a FEMINIST issue.
Men who face ridicule and even sexual abuse for turning down sex, that’s informed to their aggressors by toxic expectations of men to “always” be ready for sex – this, too, is a feminist issue.
Rape literally IS NOT “worse for the aces” than it is for everyone else. Rape is rape and it is always horrible. If you think otherwise, you’re probably a misogynist who thinks that the victim must, on some imaginary level, actually be enjoying it.
If you don’t think that “ace problems” ultimately come back to misogyny and toxic masculinity, ask yourself why that is. I mean, really spend a couple hours to have a conversation with yourself and think about it, cos 99% of the time, you people are being informed by misogyny and anti-feminism.
“Demisexual” and “grey-ace” are literally on the spectrum of TYPICAL HUMAN SEXUALITY. You’re not special cos it takes certain qualities in another person to turn you on.
Given how young women are socialised from literally girlhood to tie any sense of sexual feelings into their emotional “connection” (like, even teenage girl crushes on celebrities are highly romanticised and emotion-based, while boys are expected to have a practically animalistic sex drive with little connection to their emotions – which is TEXTBOOK toxic masculinity), it’s safe to assume that a majority of women would qualify as “demisexual/grey-ace,” cos this shit doesn’t develop in a vacuum, and we’re ALL informed by social conditioning, even when we don’t go along with what’s typically expected.
In other words, “demisexual” and “grey ace” is “allosexual spectrum,” not “Asexual spectrum.”
More often than not, “sexual attraction” (as the Acenet sees is) is functionally identical to “romantic attraction.”
If you desire, have, and enjoy sex with your partner(s), you’re not asexual, in any meaningful sense. Why? Cos that’s literally the definition of sexual attraction that the rest of the world uses.
Very few people experience “sexual attraction” the way that the Acenet seems to think we do. If we do (especially when this is experienced by women), THAT is considered a mental disorder (unlike Asexuality, which is explicitly protected from being diagnosed as a disorder by the DSM5). It usually has an underlying cause of some kind of trauma.
“no romo” is the most embarrassing thing you could ever say and just typing it out makes me feel the need to take a shower
It's okay to be a lesbian.
It’s okay to be a woman and not be attracted to men. It is normal and good. You are not less of a woman for not being attracted to men, even though attraction to men is often viewed as a fundamental aspect of womanhood. It isn’t.
Don’t force anyone to use the split attraction model. Ever. I’m not “homoromantic h*mosexual”, I’m just gay. Respect that. Respect my identity. And this goes for asexuals as well. Don’t force them or anyone to identify with the SAM. People can be gay and ace. People can be bi and ace. You don’t have to say “biromantic” or “homoromantic”. Respect people who don’t use the SAM and their identities
lmao it really isn’t
LGBT shelters are already overcrowded and many LGBT organizations are terribly underfunded. Many trans people are unable to afford their transition therapies and many HIV+ people are unable to access and afford the resources to the treatment they need.
If you’re a gay, lesbian, trans, bi, pan, or nb ace/aro then go ahead! Those resources are meant for you. But if I found out that an LGBT person died on the streets because some ‘cishet ace’ was taking up a place in the LGBT safe homeless shelter not meant for them, I’d scream.
me: wow! I aced my math test!
an asexual: Is my identity just a joke you? I’m so sick and tired of people erasing asexual identities. We live in an allonormative society. All of the allos are out here having sex and talking about dick while I’m out here appreciating cake and not getting STDs? Why do you all make fun of asexual identities? Everybody always forgets the A in LGBTQIA+. I can’t believe tha
Ace people “coming out” as ace to their coworkers, their boss, or anyone they dont have a personal relationship with is not revolutionary or brave in any way, in fact it is mostly just weird that you think you need to tell these people about how much or how little you feel sexual attraction. It is never going to be the same as a gay person’s employer finding out about their relationships and it is never going to carry the same consequences, you guys just really wanna feel special.
fuck is a cishet lesbian
lesbian = wlw
het = attracted to the opposite sex
yall fucking wildin
if you think there’s like 75 genders please feel free to block me (or argue back tbh bc I wanna hear your side of this) bc I’m tired of this bullshit. you can be female, male, nonbinary/not align with a gender. however, if you tell me you’re “partially a boy uwu” who uses “bunself” or whatever as a pronoun I’m fucking leaving.
when are people gonna realise that LGBT isnt a broad adjective for anyone who’s a little weird but rather is an acronym that stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender
what ace positivity is: asexuality is real, valid, and you shouldn’t feel like it’s wrong or weird not to feel sexual attraction! you don’t owe anyone sex! loving romantic relationships don’t need sex!
what ace positivity isn’t: you’re lgbt! you’re oppressed! people want you dead! use slurs like queer, please!
the idea that anyone who approaches sex in an unconventional way (asexuals, kinky people) is LGBT is a direct product of the perception of gay sex as deviant and strange
