Does anyone else out there dream of using their passion and talent for music to be like the singer/songwriter celebrities they look up to, but struggle with language autism that feels like a brick wall or a total disconnect between their musical skills and their ability to use language? I really want to find or form a support group around this specific struggle.
I can sort of do half-decent freeform poetry, and I can rock prose or an essay, but I writing catchy and engaging lyrics to a rhythm just doesn't come naturally to me, even as I start to find my voice as a writer. I'd like to make some sort of change. I don't want to be permanently stuck just having BPD episodes where I'm completely dazzled and absorbed into any artist who does lyrics the ways I wish I could.
