I fell into her eyes, Ocean siren lullabies Two glasses of intoxicating wine Darkened stars slowing Time She said she was the daughter of a mountain O, to be the water of her fountain Sculpted marble, the sound of flowing– Perpetual grace of frozen motion When I awoke, the spell not broken; The last note of an echo spoken Was it a dream, like the stillness of winter? Were the sheets disturbed? Did a fragrance linger? Outside my window, the moon was calm and knowing Inside my heart, there was a tempest blowing!
