NPCtember begins with a merchant's apprentice taking a break from her work as the sun sets. It's hard work in the harbour when the fresh loads of pipeweed come in from the high north. But at least the boss gives them a bonus in product when the day's done. Tastes like granddam's longhouse. Been a while since she's been back.
NPCtember features various faces from my D&D setting, the city of Ninestar!
Got recommended some brushes. Featuring me, a random dragonborn in a funky perspective and @plasmometer's Fernka. I've been in love with her design for a while and finally got a chance to try and capture her.

An antagonist in my current campaign.
A quick orc and dragonborn sketch.
The largest sophonts in Lanjari are sharing a cup of honeyed wine, a classic alliance gift. In this setting, they are evolutionary cousins (once removed). They have retained, for whatever reason, quite a strong uncanny valley effect towards each other. It has led to many cultural associations. Both true and untrue.
But that is nothing that cannot be overcome. Especially in Vobanar cities, dragonborn and orcs share a cultural history of being exploited as strong 'foreign' laborers and cheap workforces. Some choose to band together. Strength in numbers for the dracomorphs. (oh, and kottolds too, if they didn't have a gigantic empire they 'belong' to right next door. Why don't you put your smug face back with your dragon mom?)
Also featuring some of the other sophonts, all sitting, for size comparison. This is both a matriarch orc and a female dragonborn elder, the biggest of either species.
A kottold in some high fashion! A fun idea I had inspiried by some sarees I saw.
Telren recently got turned into a statue in Curse of Strahd, so some noodles.
Also Beo, a friend's geli'ka.
