Good news! He has pretty much nothing in terms of formally defined description, so just go nuts. :D

It’s true, The Wire is my favourite video game character.
Hah! Touché. Still, for a while there, it was all you could talk about. :O
from lankypicket
I'm part way through scripting at the moment on a comic set in an alternative take on 1960. A brilliant young aboriginal scholar from the Antipodes throws away all the hard won credibility he'd just started to acrue to travel halfway around the world to Turingfel, a town eking out an existence on the edges of the wasteland left by WW2. Turingfel contains a ruined library extending impossibly deep, dangerous and labyrintine into the earth. They say that the Library has all the answers you ever desperately wanted if you look hard enough. They also say that only idiots, idealists and the truly desperate are foolish enough to go looking.
Would you say that the scholar in question is an idealist, or the truly desperate? Or both, perhaps. I'm already interested in this character - not to say that the library itself isn't interesting, but I'm hoping it serves more as a vehicle for the protagonist's development, than the focal point in and of itself. You know what I mean?
lankypicket replied to your photo:I did it - I’ve attempted to itemise my time,...
If you find an itemised schedule like that too restrictive, there’s also the ‘Unscheduler’, which is basically that in reverse. You write your scheduled tasks and times for the day as you do them, not beforehand. It’s surprisingly effective.
Huh, that sounds intriguing. Will look into it. So far so good on the today schedule (though I am running behind by about 10 mins), but not sure how well it will apply to a longer term of organisation.
lankypicket replied to your chat:talking about old art movements
It’s funny you guys should say that about found object sculptures, because that was arguably the point of them - Duchamp put a urinal in a gallery because he was taking the piss out of the idea of galleries and Art. :P (Ba dum tish)
