okay so well. it starts off with daginy, whose the rebel spy II anon

II being their handle initials

so anyway theyre like a pacifist rebel spy who cant stop wanting to help people. They're in the chat as Donlan, investigative journalist turned private researcher

and then there's the IPC trolls, particularly Vadaya and nanako whokind of admitted in chat that theyre psionic rebel hunters

but before they figured that one out, daginy got messaged by nanako about an heiress that was being held prisoner, and they passed off to them 1 suspiciously well researched document with possible rebel connections

nanako and h er friend tomie got to grill tf out of lannia for being a terrible person, orivar fucking hated lannia with a loathing that kind of out weighed anything lannia actually did but

also lannia was soooooo

and herlyn joined the fray essentially bc she was wondering what daginy was getting up to, logged onto the chat and was like

lol mfer what are you doing go to bed you need to rest

and daginy was like

and herlyn was like well i'll be your fake moirail and help you sell the whole schtick

and also i can tell you to go to bed when youre getting carried away and daginy was like

so herlyn fucked up kinda bad on 2 points here on the catfishing, one of which was legit like.just fucking telling sipara who she was like

which clued hadean in because he was reading over her shoulder or something

and the second point was that herlyn ended up being an incredibly awful moirail to fake lannia

partially bc herlyn thought lannia was terrible and lowkey hated herbc daginy can fake much better than she canso things became incredibly apparent that the "moraillagence" between lannia and lynner was pretty toxic and bad

cue daginy face palming everywhere bc the goal was not to have their fake relationship drama be the focus of literally anything

also pheres had a bet with his matesprit, Emerel, on who could get a moirail first, and pheres decided lannia would be good candidate

so pheres starts nosing into the relationship, dropping hints on lynner's ability to be a proper moirail to lannia, and fucking just

served as the catalyst for a real break up "real" break up

there was a drag out knock down moirail fight in gen chat

daginy and herlyn sitting next to each other and telling each other whats going on so they dont contradict each other

anyway so after that happened, lannia's been dropping hints about how all her coworkers hate her guts for like months

then she says that shes found out theyre a cult of sufferists, says shes stalking them, disappears for like three months, and then lynner shows up after also three months like

anyone's seen lannia? :/ we parted on bad terms but she texted me saying there were rebels building bombs in her basement

and "liveblogged" her break into lannia's "hive"accompanied with visuals thanks to daginy's light bending illusion psi

lynner finds lannia's dead body in the basement, and when she gets back out, the hive gets set on fire, and then people are following lynner, and she says she's shot and then

stops responding forever

in response to this, the IPC trolls got to neuja city, where all this stuff was supposed to take place, and the rebels slap a tracker on vadaya's ship

and the ipc gets to be very confused

bc there's a real lannia at the library she claimed to work at but she's well respected by her collegues and somewhat severe

and also alive

but yeah! that's the "rebel catfishing imperial psionic as a fake librarian" story

🤥 LYING - are they good liars? do they have tells to show they're lying?

Pria could be a good liar if she put her mind to it, but she's too principled to want to be good at it. the closest she gets is sarcasm, but there she drags out her sentences and wags her tail so hard that no one could ever think she's being sincere.

Paele lives on lies. he does it constantly. and he's very good at it, except for an occasional mouth twitch when he's really, really pushing what he's willing to concede.

☕️ HOT BEVERAGE - do they prefer hot or cold drinks? what is their favourite drink?

neither of them are terribly picky, Pria especially since she's spent a lot of her life on the road. but she likes the coldest, freshest spring water you can find.

Paele becomes a terrible wine snob (blame Daeran) and particularly likes sweeter white wines.

📸 CAMERA - do they enjoy having their picture taken? what's their go-to pose? do they like taking photos? what do they take photos of?

...you know, I don't think cameras have been invented yet. but if they had access to them, Pria would be one of those "live in the moment" types who never takes a picture of anything, ever. but she doesn't mind being in pictures that other people take. definitely nya poses by default.

Paele would get his picture taken a lot, and would grow to hate it on principle. he'll hold a smile long enough for the shutter to go off and not a second longer. secretly sneaks pictures of his friends while they're not looking because it makes him feel less lonely.

💎 DIAMOND - how rich are they? can they live the lifestyle they want to?

being the hero of the crusade comes with plenty of fame, and those Abyss-made armors and weapons sell for a fortune! Pria keeps enough after the crusade to sail around with Lann and the rest of the crew of the Chimera, but they don't live a terribly lavish life. she and Lann are both pretty practical (and Pria has a charitable streak), so whenever they make landfall they take whatever accommodations and don't make a fuss about it. Pria also has a tendency to save the lives of whoever they happen to run into, which helps them get favors and rooms to stay for free.

Paele... well, I haven't finished his run yet so I can't say for certain, but I imagine that, if the crusade thing didn't make him unreasonably wealthy, marrying Daeran Arendae definitely would. he never worries about money for the rest of his life after that.

I've actually joked around with a "everyone is an underpaid high school teacher"-style AU with a friend of mine (heavily based on our own experiences in high school), so there's that. Pria is a theatre teacher and Paele is... well, it's hard to translate "chosen by a deity" into a pretty magic-lite setting, but he's not a teacher, just a looming annoyance for Pria. probably got some crazy scholarship (sports? fine arts?) to a much better university than what she got, and made it into a job that isn't horrible.

📎 PAPERCLIP - a random fact.

since she was my very first attempt to play wotr, some of the choices I made in Pria's playthrough were... bad. I missed TWO mythic levels with her. which, in hindsight, explains why I had such a horrible time in the final dungeon. that's partially why I'm playing her a second time, so that I can correct some of my horrible errors and give her a decent build. also I miss her ;;

Paele actually started as a vastly different character--outright evil instead of just an asshole. I even wrote hints in some of my older Pria stuff that she killed him, unable to forgive him for treating her terribly all her life and later becoming a slaver. then I started planning my playthrough of him, and... well, things changed. I do think that in Pria's timeline that he dabbled in the Abyssal slave trade, but almost immediately changed his mind when he saw that the demons he was doing business with were trying to murder his little sister.
