lmao shIT now i want to start another playthrough… i love using magic in games so i always do mage, why does this game punish me. def going to do rogue after i finish this, i was so annoyed when beth died!
rogue is my fav!!! having magic does give u a few little benefits at times but the plot is mostly the same and i get to keep my favorite sibling if i give up magic so i don’t mind haha.

i’ve played mage twice now and i don’t hate it, it’s easier than warrior bc i always run out of stamina as warrior for some reason, but i find rogue easier to strategize. despite the range of abilities as a mage i find myself always using to the same ones? also magic attacks aren’t as fast as i’d like, rogue is so quick WOOSH WOOSH i love it lol disappear from one spot and SUDDENLY REAPPEAR BACKSTABBING UR TARGET TEN METERS AWAY and then if you get tired just use stealth and chill for a couple secs to regain your breath?? it’s great lol. plus i love the idea of a tiny quick-witted rogue champion, it’s got that underdog feeling that matches hawke so well

wait i just started this game for the first time w/ a mage hawke, are u saying bethany doesn’t die if ur not a mage??? i got saddled w/ fuckin carver??
YES the idea is that if you’re a mage you get a warrior sibling, and if you’re a warrior/rogue you get your mage sibling to balance out the skills/combat in fights. so carver almost always dies in my playthroughs anyway because rogue is by far my favorite class and i actually find mage kinda difficult to play lol
