Wanda Maximoff & Reader (friendship)
Synopsis: The friendship between you and Wanda is the strongest bond of all.
Prompt: Wanda Maximoff + Laotong
There was something about Wanda. She was like a beacon that called to you. It probably made sense. She saved your life. You were always going to be drawn to the person who saved you. There was always going to be a bond there. When someone saves your life you knew you were going to be connected only in the fact that you would owe them forever.
There was more to it than that though. Wanda was open and warm and loving. She needed people and connection. So when you came to thank her for saving you, she wanted more. She wanted to spend time with you. She wanted to know the person she had saved.
You connected. Wanda Maximoff was the sweetest, most adorable, kindest person you had ever met. When you had seen her using her powers on the news they had scared you at first. You were in awe of them, but she was so powerful, the thought had passed through your head, what if she went bad. What if she returned to HYDRA?
Knowing her though, really knowing her, there was no way she could. She was good to her core. The fact HYDRA had gotten her in the first place was just terrible circumstanced mixed with the manipulation they were known for. Now she was on the right path you knew she wouldn’t stray.
You also knew that you would be close to her forever. Soulmates was a word that got thrown around a lot. You weren’t sure if there was such a thing as a soulmate. That there was just one person who you were supposed to spend your life with forever. There might be lots of them though. People who fulfilled different special roles to nourish your soul. Wanda was your friend soulmate. You knew that you were going to be friends forever. She was yours in a way that no one else had. Not even Vision. You caught him looking at you both sometimes, the most puzzled and yet loving look on his face. He knew that you were bonded and he’d never take that from her.
One day you and Wanda would be old ladies sitting playing cards and watching your grandchildren play together. She was your soulmate and there was nothing that would ever change that.
