LapaChhapi 2017 Marathi Film review

This film is directed by Vishal Furia and it is a Horror Film. The last Horror film that I loved was Tumbbad, it had a nice original and unique concept.

Vishal Furia's LapaChhapi is also a good cinema, it had some scenes that gave me chills, good cinematography.

The story is about a couple who moves to an isolated place between sugarcane farm and the actress is pregnant with the baby, and the story is all about whether this woman is able to give birth to her baby or not, as there is also some evil thing going on with the place.

Director was able to maintain suspense throughout the film, but I didn't like the ending so much, it was okay but got very simple in the end and everything resolved so very easily.

Fewer characters, the isolated places may have kept the budget low, but the film is satisfactory and scary to watch. I think all girls and women should watch this movie and if possible alone.

I haven't seen many Marathi Films, but the industry has been doing great for the last couple of years, making very good cinema. I think when you are restricted on Budget and the story that you have to tell within those restrictions forces you to take some very good creative decisions.

I hope Marathi Films get the exposure they deserve. If possible the films should be translated into other Indian languages so that the cinema can reach the masses.
