Au where Adrien never got to go to school even though he got the Black Cat Miraculous, and decides that since a lot of akumas come out of that school to enroll into the akuma class. So basically Adrien who was sheltered all his life is now Chat Noir like, all the time, even at school. He is registered as Miss Bustier Class’s emotional support cat. The class dealing with all his cat traits 24/7 but slowly realizing how sad Chat’s home life is, becoming the ChatNoir protection Squad. They have pins and badges and everything. Marinette who thought this was a risk at first and was about to scold Chat Noir as Ladybug hears his reasons and just lowkey years up because “oh wow”. The Bro squad but it’s with Chat Noir and they test his super powers and his limits. During lessons he sits next to Nino and by sits next to I mean he’s curled up in Nino’s lap like a house kitty as they are now beat friends and maybe something more. He is Kitty Section’s biggest supporter and mascot. They say they are looking for a piano player and his tail starts wagging and he beams and pounces on the keyboard, his audition piece being “Stray Cat Strut” or “Everybody Wants To Be A Cat”. He’s in. Races with Alix, him on all fours, her on blades, helping model for Nathaniel because cats are hard to draw so he just captures Chat Noir in all the cat like poses he can spot him on, which is a lot. Alya absolutely adores him because a real life superhero in their class and she doesn’t interview him because she knows that this is his only time to be free so she and Nino have decided it’s their absolute mission to teach this kitten everything. He spends so much time as Chat Noir that the lines between his humanity and the miraculous start to blur, and he can’t even remember going by Adrien. He doesn’t care that he’s tired all the time or such and that he is quickly becoming more inhuman, because he’s free and has friends and can smile And, just be himself.
Oh jeez, that last part got dark. But im always a sucker for those edgier miraculous side effects, maybe cuz of madoka magica.
Anyway i think thats really cute and the real conflict of being chat vs. being adrien is really interesting. Like hes turning his back on his real identity and playing up the parts that don't always reveal the true him.
I would assume ladybug catches onto this at some point and it recquires a lot of hard self love and support to get the confidence to return to his real identity.
Also bc im me it sounds a like a trans allegory. Either way im all for it.
Imagine this suspicious chat going into this school wreaked with akuma victims yet instead of finding horrible people he finds the closest, warmest, most close knit group of friends who are so lovely and welcoming he forgets his true purpose for being there.
