That Lars drabble made me feel something. Can we have more pussy drunk lars pretty please
yes, we definitely can! i plan to incorporate more pussy drunk lars in my future fics because he's just sooo dear to me. he's my close personal friend and i know him personally. and we should all make him confident and mean sometimes. only sometimes.
YES I DO SOMETIMES IMAGINE LUKE AS A GIRL NAMED LUNA SKYWALKER...And you would do it too for a cheque. I was an employee, and I was gonna get employee of the month and that's on period.
Female Luke has been living my head rent free, just imagine her
This how how her smile would look btw, I think it's a pretty cute smile
I've imagined Luna in multiple AUs, hell I'll sometimes read Luke fanfics and see her instead (this must be how Darth Vader felt about Luke when he realised he was his son)
I was just doing it for shits and giggles but now there's a whole world going on in my head.
She likes to dress differently when she's off duty, she thinks it helps her brain seperate work from her personal life.
this is the vibe I'm going for:
And this was how her hair looked in the beginning. When she was young, maybe during ANH:
I've imagined her in most scenarios people would put Luke Skywalker in. And listen this doesn't mean boy Luke is not near and dear to me but DAMN Luna has been driving me crazy.
Her lightsaber is mint green, she still wear the all black fit with the Chanel boots MWAH 💋💅.
She's soft-spoken, a free-spirit, more reserved than most, she prefers galavanting in the forest while singing like she's some Disney princess singing her "I want" song. She literally tries to make every animal she sees there a new friend, much to the chagrin of Han and amusement of her twin sister Leia. She lived in desert all her life sooo...
BUT DO NOT BE MISTAKEN!!
Luna is kind, empathetic, humble but don't think you can walk all over her. Many assume that Leia is the only serious one, they think Luna is the ditzy blonde but Luna is not to be trifled with. Her silence is not because she's shy, it's because she's deathly observant (she gets it from her papa), it freaks people out so much that they assume she used the force to figure things out about people but she didn't.
She's sharp and more alert than people think, she's hyper aware of her surroundings, is a great pilot, and a pretty crafty mechanic. She downplays her abilities and how strong she is in the force, not just because she's humble but because she has a bit of an inferiority complex and also she thinks it's nobodies business (growing up alone in a non-child friendly/harsh environment can do that). She adapts very quickly, even when she's in the middle of a battle.
She can be hyper independent and doesn't like worrying people and can sometimes feel detached from reality especially after a stressful or "world-breaking event" happens, it's her way of processing that information. It worries Leia a lot.
Luna's one wish...is to have a family. A mom, a dad and a sibling or two, she wasn't raised by the Lars, she grew up as an orphan and she would have dreams about this imaginary family ALL THE TIME.
It saddened her to see these people only in her dreams, but ofcourse it doesn't stay that way forever. Especially when Leia comes into her life.
Luna DOES NOT PLAY about her sister Leia, she calls Leia either Lee or Leilei (pronounced:lay lay) interchangeably. She always wanted a family so when Leia comes into her life and Luna notices the strange bond they have, she doesn't question it she dives in and the best part is that Leia does the same.
It weirds most people out because they act like they've known each other forever and then Han will be like "I've known blondie for longer, they literally met on the death star" and everyone is like.
Oh and she met Han the same way as before, the only difference is that now R2 and 3pO where purchased to be used at the orphanage she was raised in instead of the Lars homestead. The orphanage gets ransacked and burnt down for the same reasons the Lars died. Obi wan exist but he didn't adopt Luna because...what would he know about raising a child, the orphanage lady is doing a better job so 🤷.
Anyway her and Leia are best friends, who see each other as sisters 😉. Practically inseparable, two peas in a pod. The Ying to the other's yang, the twins suns of Tatooine.
That's currently where I am with her, idk maybe, I'm just a dreamer and I'm obsessed.
Also she's be WAY angrier at the Jedi for not informing her of her family, when she was older, she understood not informing when she was young but when not keeping her in the dark as an adult who already met Leia. She's not gonna be violent about it or anything, those old geezers are just gonna be given a stern talking to and she'll choose to cut down the amount of times she'll contact them, or stop communicating all together.
SHE'S GOING TO ABUSE HER CONTACT WITH FORCE GHOST ANAKIN THOUGH.
But I can't stop thinking about her. She's too cute.
but you know that just me tee hee 🤭
Maybe y'all can add more stuff about her, idk if I'm gonna do something like write a fanfic, never written one and publicized it before but I'm not opposed to it.
A/N: Happy December my dears! (This one's gonna be a long one so bear with me!)
Figured I'd share some Six since life is going to just get a little crazy the next couple of weeks with the holidays.
This has been a YEAR for me personally, and frankly I can't wait for it to come to a close, some of you know, but most of you don't...I lost my mom in March of this year to cancer. It was hard, unexpected, and the worst thing I've experienced in my life to date. That woman was my fucking rock, she was my best friend and there are so many things I wish I could tell her, and could have told her that I can't now.
The last year has been a fucking rollercoaster of emotions for me and I couldn't have gotten through without a handful of very very important special people. Take it from someone who wishes they would have done things differently; if you have something to say to someone you love, tell them. Don't have regrets.
That being said, I completely lost myself in my writing over the last 9 months and have never been more grateful or flattered by your unwavering support.
There were (and still are) days where the only thing that got me out of bed were these muses, be it Six, Logan or otherwise. So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for your love and support, it means the world to me.
One more thing before I get to the proper jargon; I discovered today, that the Nurse Series is officially 1 year old! (as of November 16th) that is absolutely WILD to me, this was supposed to be a one shot nurse fetish and this is officially part 14 (with more to come) It wouldn't be what it is without y'all <3 If I don't post beforehand, happy holidays to all of you and I'll see you on the flip side <3
PS: I know this time of year can be hard; if you need someone to talk to my inbox is (and always will be regardless of the time of year) open <3
Okay so, regular stuff....
A second bit of a collab with my darling doppelganger, she wrote the Lars x Becca bits because who knows Lars better? The answer is no one.
As always, this NSFW 18+ should be par for the course at this point. So like….?
My beautiful partner in crime, my enabler, my soul sister @ken-dom without whom this continuation would not have happened….I thank you for your continued support and love and will forever relish in the fact that I’ve dragged you over to the Six side ;)
This is indeed a continuation of what I’ve affectionately titled the Nurse Series, read previous parts here.
This was meant to be a TWO part series and Six just refuses to rest so here we are.
Enjoy my loves! <3
Six came in through the back door, tray of coffees and breakfast in hand, he could hear you and Becca chatting in the kitchen. He stopped just short of the doorway, leaning against the wall, listening intently.
“Last time I told Court he didn't have a choice, he tied me to a chair for two hours to prove a point. He'd put us both under an arm and Lars would follow him anywhere he was taking you”
Six scoffed softly hearing Becca laugh.
You sighed loudly, “The man drives me fucking mad, Becks” your voice was muffled, you were leaning on the table.
“He's just protecting you” she reasoned
Six glanced over his shoulder as Lars came down the stairs
“Morning -”
Six put his finger to his lips, setting the coffees and breakfast down on a small table in the hallway.
Lars frowned “What are you -?”
“Shhh” Six whispered as Lars came to stand behind him.
“It's exactly the point actually, he loves you, you idiot; of course he's going to fly in anywhere half cocked if it means protecting you”
“And get himself killed in the process” you countered “He won't do much good to me dead”
“We shouldn't-” Lars wrang his hands, distressed
“It's fine” Six whispered
You sighed, you were worried, he could hear it. “What if it was Lars?”
This caught Lars’ attention, and Six glanced back at him, half expecting him to dash into the kitchen and give them away. His cheeks were flushed deep red, but he didn't move.
“We wouldn't leave the bedroom” she muttered “If he was all possessive and shit…Honestly don't know how you function when Six is like that”
“Got a dark side you're hiding there Lars?” Six smirked
“Nnn-no” Lars whispered shaking his head
“Sounds like you could be” he teased
“We shouldn't be-”
Lars moved to expose them and Six lurched forward, making a conscious effort to grab his sleeve and not his hand to keep him stationary. He had spent enough time here to notice Lars wore a lot of layers, he had meant to ask you about it, but sorted out that Lars didn't like to be touched, he actively avoided it as much as he could. Except with Becca, Lars touched Becca constantly and let her touch him.
He could relate…. maybe he'd ask Lars about that himself later.
“No, Lars” he whispered “Two minutes and we'll go out there…just…shhh”
Lars whined, but fell back
“Whatever works,” Becca laughed lightly. “So, have you forgiven him yet?”
You sighed “He doesn't fucking deserve it, but yeah.”
Lars turned to look at Six with a huge grin on his face. “Told you so”
“Sure sounded like he deserved it last night” she quipped.
Six snorted with a laugh picking up the tray of coffees “Count to thirty before you follow”
***
Six perched himself on the empty stool next to you and fished a bagel out of the paper bag and placed it in front of you.
“Eat” he ordered, setting your coffee next to your bagel.
“You're not the-”
He cocked his head with a raised eyebrow and you pressed your lips together with a smile, dropping your gaze
“Hmm?” he hummed questioningly leaning to look at you
“Yes, Sir” you muttered, picking up half of the bagel and taking a small bite.
He pulled the other coffees from the tray and handed Becca and Lars their drinks.
Becca smirked taking the cup marked with a ‘B’
“So,” you cleared your throat “Becca and I thought we could all go bowling this afternoon?”
“I have to-” Six started and you cut him off shaking your head.
“We're- going- bowling.” You repeated, turning to look at him.
He scoffed with a snort and you sighed heavily sliding off your stool, grabbing the front of his t-shirt “Excuse us” you smiled at Lars and Becca, pulling him off his own stool and down the hallway
“I love it when you get all authoritative” Court smirked as you pushed him against the banister.
You rolled your eyes. “Babe, please” you sighed as he threaded his fingers together with yours and pulled you against him.
You let out a heavy sigh through your nose and let yourself be pulled against his broad chest as he turned you around, pushing you against the banister.
He pressed against you, his forehead leaned against yours. You cupped his cheek your eyes searching his face.
“Please,” you whispered, “Will you just try to relax for one afternoon?”
He didn't say anything so you continued.
“If Lloyd rears his ugly pedo mustache we'll deal with it, okay?”
He let out a heavy breath through his nose “You're barely back on your feet” he whispered, his thumb sliding gently over the yellowing bruise across your nose.
You closed your eyes at his touch. “I'm fine, Court”
You wrapped your arms around his middle, kissing his jaw as he rested his head against yours.
“I can't find him” he whispered into your hair “I can't risk putting all of you in danger”
“Lloyd isn't going to show up in a bowling alley, babe,” you sighed “Especially when he knows you're looking for him”
“That's what I thought about the hospital” he whispered
You pulled back slightly looking him in the face. “What?”
He ran his tongue between his lips “The hospital that day,” he whispered “I thought you'd be safe…I didn't think he would-”
You bit down on your lip gently. “You knew he was there.”
It was a statement not a question.
“No,” he shook his head “I knew he was in town; I didn't think he'd…” he trailed off, pulling you against him, pressing a kiss to the side of your head.
You sighed against his chest, hugging him tighter. “It's okay, I'm okay”
You rubbed your hands over his back and you felt him relax under your touch.
“I promise,” you muttered against his shoulder “If Lloyd shows up, I'll get Becca and Lars out, okay?”
He pulled back with a slow nod before pressing his lips to yours gently.
“I told you before, I'm not going to hide from Lloyd Hansen the rest of my life, that hasn't changed” you spoke softly
“I wish you would” he muttered “At least until I kill the bastard”
“So I can sit at home worried sick about you?” You questioned and he leaned his forehead back against yours.
“You knew what you were signing up for when you agreed to marry me”
“And you knew how stubborn I was when you asked” you smiled, arms slipping around his neck
“It seems we're at an impasse, Mrs Gentry” he muttered, kissing you again, deeper this time, making you shiver before he pulled away.
You sighed content against “Don't pull that Mrs Gentry shit with me”
“Why not?” He smiled coyly “Because it works?” He leaned to kiss a trail over your neck and along your jaw.
You faltered, only briefly before pushing him back gently and shaking your head “No, no, not here; not now”
“After bowling then,” he said matter of fact before leaning next to your ear, his warm breath making yours catch in the back of your throat before he spoke. “I'll make you scream my name so loud the neighborhood will hear”
You gasped softly, but didn't speak. He didn't give you the opportunity. He was already two strides away, headed back toward the kitchen. Having left you flustered and flushed leaning against the banister for a few extra seconds before you collected yourself and followed.
***
You gripped Court's hand tighter as you felt him go rigid as you walked toward your assigned lane, bowling shoes in your other hand; Lars and Becca walking hand in hand a few feet ahead.
“Relax” you whispered
He ignored you and you rolled your eyes with a heavy sigh.
“At least pretend to have a good time. It's the least you can do after everything Becca and Lars have done for us” you snapped stalking ahead.
You heard him sigh behind you but kept walking. You sat in a hard plastic chair and changed your shoes.
Becca had caught your eye, sensing your shift in attitude. She sat next to you, leaving Lars to add your names to the screen as Six sat next to him, smart to leave you be.
“What happened?” She muttered, swapping out her own shoes.
You rolled your eyes with a shake of your head as you tied your shoe. “He's just….” You trailed off shaking your head harder with a huff.
“Hey, you got him here” she whispered “Baby steps”
Another heavy sigh through your nose as you clenched your jaw with pursed lips. You glanced up feeling his eyes on you from across the floor.
You stared each other down, his blue eyes piercing through the dark ambiance of the bowling alley. A challenge, who would give up first…before you finally dropped your gaze.
“Idiot” you muttered to yourself, bending to tie your other shoe.
“They're rarely pretty and smart” she smirked before pulling herself from the chair.
You snorted, watching as she slid a hand over Lars’ shoulder and down the front of his chest as she leaned to brush her lips against his cheek before walking toward the lane to take her turn.
You watched silently as Court studied them like you'd seen him study so many things before. Sometimes you forgot where he came from, that he'd spent so long behind concrete walls and iron bars. He never talked about it, and you never asked, you hadn't had the heart to.
Much like Lars, Court struggled with intimacy and touch. Sex he was good at, intimacy scared him…although he'd never admit it.
You got up to take your turn, feeling Court's eyes burning into your back as you walked up the lane.
You took your turn and pivoted on your heel as Court came to meet you at the ball return.
“Are you going to be stubborn all day?” He questioned
You glared at him “Funny, coming from you”
You purposefully pushed against his shoulder as you walked around him and his fingers sank into the fleshiest part of your hip, stopping you. He leaned next to your ear, his voice thick with annoyance as he spoke.
“You know it's not safe for us to be here”
“And you know Lloyd won't dare show his face”
“I don't” he growled through clenched teeth, fingers squeezing your hip tighter before he sighed, forcing himself to relax “I don't know that, and I cant-”
“We're not having this argument right now, Court, not here.” You cut him off, twisting out of his grip and taking your seat.
***
As you anticipated the afternoon had gone off without a hitch and it had taken everything in you not to tell Court “I told you so”
“So, what’s with Lars’ touch thing?”
Six tossed a strip of gum into his mouth and started chewing, waiting intently for your answer.
“What do you mean?” you asked, settling beside him in bed.
“Well, he seems to touch Becca almost constantly. Can’t seem to manage without being attached to her — and hey,” Six slipped am around you and pulled you to rest against his bare chest, smirking when you slid your hand over his stomach, “I get it, more than anyone. But he dodged everyone else like they have the plague. Why?”
“Have you asked him?”
Six shook his head. “Didn’t wanna make him uncomfortable.”
“Alright,” you sighed, “But, look- just don’t tell him I told you, okay?”
Six held up his hands. “His secret’s safe with me.”
“Lars has this… thing. He’s always had it. If someone touches his skin with theirs, it burns him.”
“Jesus-”
“Well, his doctor found out about it and referred him to Becca for touch therapy-”
“Oh yeah,” Six drawled with a suggestive tone, “I can see where this is going.”
You slapped Six’s chest playfully. “No! Well- kind of. But, no, Court. Just let me finish.”
“Go ahead.” He resumed chewing his gum.
“So, he starts seeing Becca at the hospital. They go through the standard touch therapy stuff, but he doesn’t appear to need it. She can place a hand on his skin and keep it there for a whole minute, and - nothing!”
“Nothing? That’s a whole other problem.”
“Stop it, Court. So Becca contacts Lars’s doctor and asks why he’s been referred and if there was some sort of mistake. Both of them are baffled. Lars is baffled too. Is he cured all of a sudden?”
You push up to see Six’s reaction. You love this part of the story every time you ask Becca to tell you it but you’ve never told it to anyone else. Six raises his eyebrows as he waits for the big reveal.
“Turns out, his doctor is a psychiatrist too, and she figures it out pretty quickly.”
“Oh?”
“Yeah. So Lars is comfortable being touched by… certain people. People he wants to be touched by. It’s rare, like it only happened with one or two other people before-”
“The sex doll?”
“Bianca.” you corrected him. “And yes. Turns out he just really liked Becca. Love at first sight, he calls it. But he didn’t even realise until he’d seen his own doctor again and she gently explored the possibility with him. So, he was referred to another doctor for the therapy, and the rest is history.”
“Is that what the kids call rizz? Does Lars have rizz in this story?”
You snort.
“Is he getting better?” Six goes on, more serious.
“Yeah. Slow progress, but yeah,” you nod, smiling.
“You know, I think I could benefit from a bit of this- what’s it called? Touch therapy?”
“Oh, why’s that?” you ask, eyes narrowing in suspicion.
Six takes your hand in his, kisses it delicately, and then guides it down over the sheets, pressing your palm to his huge erection.
You smiled, leaning into him, your fingers teasing over the soft cotton of the sheet pooled in his lap. His thumb reached dragging slowly over your bottom lip as his fingers hooked under your chin, pulling you closer, his lips moving slowly against yours before he pulled you into his lap.
You straddled his middle, kissing along his jaw, his beard scratching against your cheek. He stuck his gum to the top of the nightstand and you pulled back with a frown “Court Gentry!”
His brow furrowed and he pouted “I'll deal with it after”
He reached around your back with both hands, squeezing your ass making you giggle as you caught yourself on his shoulders.
You rocked your hips into his resting your forehead against his. “You're insatiable” you whispered and he groaned with approval.
You lifted your hips and he shifted the sheet out from under you, exposing his hard shaft. You ease yourself back into his lap, you both groaned in unison as he eased himself inside. You wrapped your arms around his shoulders, pulling him to you as you rocked your hips into his.
You sighed as his mouth latched on to your throat, skin pinching between his teeth, making you gasp and lean heavier against him. Your fingers threading through thick dirty blond as you leaned your head back, fingernails scraping over his scalp, making him moan against your throat.
His hands slid up over your naked back, rough and calloused making your whole body shiver. You dropped your head forward taking his face in both hands, his blue eyes searched yours. Your thumbs stroked over his cheeks as your hips kept their slow rhythm, your frame wrapped in his massive arms.
His lips parted and you took in a breath, biting gently on your bottom lip as his hands roamed over your body, warm against your skin.
You dropped your hands to his shoulders as he took your face in his.
“Tell me you love me” His voice was a breathy whisper as he pulled your face closer to his.
Your eyes slipped closed as he brought your mouth to his, lips barely touching as you nodded slowly in his hands “I do” you breathed
“Say it” His breath mingling with yours as you moaned softly, your fingers curling against his shoulders
“I love you” you whispered and he closed the miniscule gap between you, his tongue tangled with yours as he wrapped his arms around you, pulling you against him as he bucked his hips, making you cry out into his mouth as his cock brushed the right spot inside you.
Your fingernails dug into the muscle of his shoulders as he did it again, making you weak. He broke your kiss, and moaned deep and primal in the back of his throat in the crook of your neck as you breathed heavy, gasping with each thrust of his hips.
“I-” you whined “Court- God- I'm-”
You struggled to get the words out,
The moan ripping from the back of your throat; his hand landing heavy over your mouth as you squeezed your eyes shut, plummeting into your bliss, muffled cries against his palm, a satisfied grunt against your neck sending shivers through your body, right down to your fingertips.
***
You sighed against his chest, limbs tangled in sheets, wrapped around each other; your fingers dragging lazily over his heated skin.
“What?” He asked, his voice vibrating through his chest, his own fingers dragging lazily up and down the length of your arm.
When you didn't answer right away he squeezed you gently. “Tell me”
You sighed again, wetting your lips before you spoke. You hated that he could do that.
“You need to slow down” you spoke quietly
“I thought you liked fast and furious” he teased
You adjusted to look at him better “I'm serious Court, you need to take a break or you're going to burn yourself out. You know Lloyd will resurface eventually, don't kill yourself looking for him”
The fingers ghosting across your arm stopped abruptly and he sighed “I'm not going to burn out”
“You already are” your voice raising an octave as you sat up to catch him roll his eyes and his arm dropped to the bed.
“What?” You asked, "You think I don't notice that you haven't been sleeping?”
“I sleep” he sighed
You scoffed “Please”
“I sleep” he repeated
“You're not!” You nearly shrieked “Have you looked at yourself?! You look like hell; and you don't think I feel you get out of bed in the middle of the night and not come back?!”
He didn't answer and you raised your eyebrows expectantly.
“And I know you're not going for a run every morning”
He dropped his gaze then and you watched his chest deflate.
“What are you doing?” You asked, your voice dropping again.
When he still didn't answer you continued
“You're looking for him, aren't you?” You asked “You’re seeking him out”
“I'm not-”
“Don't you dare lie to me” you snapped “Not again”
You paused for a beat
“Have you?”
He sighed and nodded “Yeah”
You scoffed and moved to climb out of bed before his hand closed around your wrist.
“Don't” you snapped, pulling your wrist free, only to have both hands grab you by the waist. You caught yourself on his shoulder as he sat up on his knees. One hand moving to cup your face and you closed your eyes leaning into his touch before looking back at him. “Are you trying to get yourself killed?”
You couldn't help the tears welling in your eyes as his thumb stroked over your cheek.
“If you don't want to be with me anymore just -”
“Woah, woah, what?” He frowned “Who said anything about-”
Tears slid down your cheeks as you shook your head as much as his hand would allow “Well, you keep going after Lloyd, and you know how dangerous he is”
“I want to keep you safe” he whispered
“So if he kills you it'll be my fault” you said simply, crying harder
“What?!” He was cupping your face in both hands “Absolutely not”
You hiccuped with a sob, crying harder, throwing your arms around his neck and pressing your face into his collarbone.
He wrapped his arms around you, hugging you tightly, pressing a kiss into your hair, taking a deep deep breath through his nose as your body shook against him.
“It's okay,” he muttered closing his eyes, his hand rubbing over your bare back soothingly “I'm right here”
You squeezed him tighter
He held you against him until you started to relax before he pulled back to look at you, his hands moving back to hold your face.
“Now, you listen to me,” he said sternly and you sniffed “I don't ever want to be without you. Do you hear me?”
You nodded slowly meeting his eyes and he continued
“Nothing that happens to me because of Lloyd will ever be your fault, understand?”
“But-” you protested before he cut you off
“Do you understand?” He repeated, squeezing your face gently between his hands
“Yes” you whispered
“Good” he kissed your forehead “Don’t want to be with you…” he muttered settling back into the sheets “Ludacris”
You giggled softly settling back against his chest with a sigh
ORI!!! Hi, hi, hello, I'm here to drag you into my current obsession! ꉂ(ˊᗜˋ*)
This game heavily reminds me of Love and Deepspace. MC here is an artist who draws her own manga, which I think would be interesting for you as a fellow artist and writer! Characters are also pretty cool and charismatic!
⤷ 🦈 Lovebrush Chronicles
♡ You are a student at St. Shelter Academy like all characters from this game. Just like MC in the game, you study drawing, which makes you two best friends!
♡ Your lover is Lars, since he reminds me of your other favorites like Leona or Jin; still, he's much friendlier. In another universe he's a king. In the modern world he's the CEO of the Feinz Group, a principal investor of St. Shelter Academy. He likes manga and dogs. I think you two would be a great match together.
♡ Ayn is your friend who has a crush on you and your closest runner-up. He's a genius pianist and reminds me of Rin (BLLK) and Licht (Servamp) at some point. Despite his black cat personality, he needs someone so sweet and understanding like you around.
♡ Cael is your guardian who pines after you from afar. You forgave him even after everything he had done, which made him slowly but surely fall for you!
♡ Clarence and Alkaid are your older brother figures. Just like you, Clarence enjoys monsters, so you two have a lot of fun together. While Alkaid likes nature, animals, and stars. Both of them have a lot in common with you and protect you a lot.
Have an amazing day, my dear! Love you so so much! (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ ♡
AAAAAAAAAA, YOU GOT ME I'M CHECKIMG THIS OUT!!!!!
Since I have been matching you with Haku lately, and I have some other thoughts, so I might as well do
(´・ω・)っ🦈
♡~Tokyo Debunker~♡
Additional Ability
You have two transformations, a dove and a marble statue.
Also your blessing as a baby was given to you by a future timeline version of yourself.
Haku Kusanagi
You weren't in Clementia at the same time because Haku was in Frostheim at the time but he did see you around when he went to talk to Rui. Even after the Clash he could spot you taking care of any of the plants around the now defunct dorm. After that year you were transferred to Jabberwock so he didn't see you much but he still heard about you from Rui.
One day he decided to go take the Jabberwock tour, and you were his tour guide. He would tease and suddenly flirt with you every now and then (if Zenji was around he would be telling Haku off every second). After the tour was over you two kept bumping into each other around campus a lot more. Until one day he confessed to you.
Haru Sagara
After transferring to Jabberwock he helped you acclimate to said dorm. You came accustomed to the dorm very quickly, taking care of the anomalous animals was like second nature. He does appreciate that there's another hand (that's isn't Towa) to take care of any of the anomalous dog animals. Peekaboo also took a liking to you, not even biting you once.
Peekaboo does push him towards you, he sees how you take care of him. It's like having a small family, and now he's blushing. He knows what these feelings are, he isn't really ready to face them yet. Also would say never trust what he says when he's drunk, he has confessed his feelings while he was drunk.
Rui Mizuki
You always come over to get Haru whenever he's drunk, and you did spend time in Clementia together for a short while before he was fully in Obscuary. His crush for you grew slowly over time as he kept seeing you come pick up Haru from his Bar, hearing about you from others. He's in a sense pining for you but he knows he can never hold you because of his reaper curse.
Subaru Kagami
He knew a bit, whenever Haku talked about you but he saw and heard about you much more frequently once you and Haku got together. The glimpses he saw of you, the times of pleasant greetings, and the times you were in the tea room enjoying the tea. All made him pine for you but he felt kinda wrong pining for you because you were already with someone. That someone was Haku, his Vice-Captain.
Lyca Colt
He's like a big brother at times, and a little brother at times. He heard about how sweet and kind you are through Subaru. So he really wanted to meet you and see why Subaru has a goofy smile whenever he mentions you. When he did meet you he was kinda blunt about Subaru's goofy smile. Lyca still has a lot to learn but you're here to help him. You may not be able to help him fully when he's upset and lock himself in his room but hearing your reassuring voice from the other side of the door does help him feel comforted.
Towa Otonashi
He was jealous of you at first because you were new and talking up Haru's time that should be for him. Until after the initial first time, he noticed Haru has more free time, more free time to be with him!!!! Also during this realization time you introduced him to Shoujo manga, and took care of him when he got a little scrap. He heard from the animals how nice of a person you are. So he vows to protect you like he did to Haru.

He's in complete denial he has a crush on you. And when he sees/learns you like Isekai Novels to, he can't deny any longer he likes you but he can't ever tell you. There's always the latest copy of an Isekai in front of Jabberwock with your name on it (there's never a sender).

Anakin has imagined meeting again Padmé Amidala for years. But when it finally happened… it was completely different. She still sees him as a child. And he… he struggles to see her as he saw her years ago. His angel.
Now he has a mission to protect her from an assassin that is after her. They're about to head to Naboo, where she should be safe. Not so long ago this thought would excite him. Not only is it his first solo mission, but he can spend time with a person he's been crushing on for years. But now… he has mixed feelings about it.
Still, he straightens up when she approaches him with some senator at her side. They're in a deep conversation. Skywalker wonders whether they're going to miss him.
'I really don't want to be a bother,' Padmé says, frowning.
'My dear, I assure you, you won't,' the Senator says. 'I've already consulted this with the King. He'd be more than happy to have you as his guest until all of this blows over.'
They stop. Amidala bites her lip. Finally, she sighs and nods.
'Very well, I accept,' she concedes. 'I agree it does make a better sense.'
'Excellent,' the Senator says, beaming. 'I'll inform the King. And don't worry about getting there. I'll organize everything. The same way you were supposed to go to Naboo.'
They bow to each other and the man walks away. Padmé looks at Anakin. He's looking at her with a frown.
'What was that all about?' he asks.
'A change of plans,' Amidala explains. 'We're not going to Naboo.'
'What?' Skywalker asks, alarmed and annoyed. 'You've already agreed-'
'I'm still going to leave Coruscant,' she interrupts him. 'But you must admit that if whoever is after me won't find me in here, they're going to search me on Naboo next.'
The padawan goes quiet. Because he does see the point of it.
'My friend, Senator Berugha, has offered that his home planet can take us until it's over,' the Senator continues. 'No one will be looking for me there.'
'Are you sure it's a safe place?' the Jedi asks after a beat. 'And that we can trust them?'
'Absolutely,' Padmé says firmly. 'I vouch for the Senator. And you've already been on that planet and met the King. We're going to Luth.'
Anakin freezes. He has a weird feeling in his stomach. Not a bad one. More like… a happy one.
'How do you know I was on Luth?' he asks, suddenly puzzled. Amidala smiles.
'I'm great friends with the princesses,' she explains. '[Y/N] told me how you rescued her.'
At the mention of your name, Skywalker feels warmth in his heart. He nods hesitantly.
'I'll consult with the Council,' he says and walks a way to contact his fellow Jedi. After a brief conversation, Yoda and others agree it may be a better move and approve of the change of plans.
Hours later they're landing on Luth. They come as refugees but there's a jet waiting for them in a discreet location. They get onto it and the driver takes them straight to the palace. There, the King is already waiting for them with a warm smile.
'Senator Amidala, Jedi Skywalker,' he greets them. 'It's so good to see you again. I hope everything went well.'
'Yes, Your Majesty,' Padmé confirms and curtsies to Andrrei. 'I can't thank you enough for your offer and help.'
'You're our dear friend,' the King says, his look suddenly hard. 'We may not be able to help you hunt down this… criminal… but we sure can offer you sanctuary for as long as you need. But there's nothing to worry about. I've heard Master Kenobi is after the assassin. He'll be quick to catch them, I'm sure. And you're in good hands.'
He smiles at Anakin, who bows to him. Andrrei pats young Jedi on the back and turns to the door.
'Follow me,' he invites them and starts walking, sending a mischievous smile their way. 'I haven't told [Y/N] and Astrariel about your visit. I wanted to surprise them.'
They all head inside. The King leads them through the corridors. Skywalker is pleased to see a lot of guards. But it doesn't mean he's going to let his guard down.
Finally, Andrrei knocks on the door already known to the Jedi. His heart skips a beat as he hears an invitation. They follow the King inside.
'Dear, I have a surprise for you!' he announces, beaming. Anakin has to stop when he sees you, lounging on the sofa, reading some documents. You look absolutely breathtaking. Wait. Why did he think that?
'Should I be worried?' you ask, not looking up. 'Last time you said that, Astrariel ended up covered in slime.'
'Not my fault she couldn't handle her new pet,' Andrrei shrugs. You sigh and look up. You widen your eyes in surprise, but quickly a smile spreads across your face and you jump on your feet.
'Padmé!' you exclaim and rush to your friend. 'It's so good to see you!'
'And you, [Y/N],' Amidala says, hugging you tightly. 'You have no idea.'
You laugh and look over her shoulder. Your eyes meet Skywalker's. He smiles shyly. You let go of the Senator and walk to him.
'Anakin,' you greet him with a warm smile. 'I dare to say you're an even bigger surprise.'
'Not a bad one, I hope,' he says, grinning cheekily. You chuckle and shake your hand.
'Never,' you assure him and take your hands in his. 'I'm really glad to see you again.'
'As am I, pri- I mean, [Y/N],' the Jedi quickly corrects himself. You grin and look between your two guests.
'But what are you doing here?' you ask. Everyone's faces fall. They tell you about everything. You have a worried frown on your face when they're done.
'It is indeed troubling,' you say and take Padmé's hand in yours. 'I'm glad you've agreed to come here. We will not let any harm come to you. Especially, since Anakin is your personal bodyguard.'
You send him a smile and he responds with a bashful one. You turn to your father to ask him a question, but the door to your chambers bang open and your sister rushes in with a happy squeal. You sigh.
'How many times have I asked you to knock?' you ask, but don't sound angry.
'As if I counted,' Astrariel huffs. She grins at Amidala and runs to her with open arms. The Senator chuckles, as she hugs the younger princess.
'I'm so glad you're here, Padmé!' your sister squeals. 'It's such a nice surprise! Are you here for long?'
'That remains to be seen,' your friend answers, exchanging a look with Anakin. Astrariel pulls away and looks at every one of you.
'I don't want to know what's all this about, do I?' she asks. Your father sends her a sad smile.
'It will be safer for you, Trouble,' he answers. She sighs and looks at the Jedi. She smiles and curtsies respectfully.
'It's good to see you again, Padawan Skywalker,' she says. Anakin bows to her.
'I'm glad to see you again as well, Princess Astrariel,' he says and your sister grins at him. 'You've grown, my lady.'
'Only on the outside,' you assure him. Astrariel gasps, outraged, and throws a pillow at you. You manage to grab it and give Skywalker a look.
'You see my point?' you ask. He has troubles to remain serious. Your sister pouts at you and turns to the King.
'Does mom know?' she asks.
'She does, but she's having a meeting with Senator Berugha,' Andrrei answers. 'She should be done in time for supper. In the meantime… Padmé, Padawan Skywalker, I'm sure you're tired after your journey here. I'll escort you to your rooms. Then we'll discuss security measures. After that, I'll leave you to prepare for supper. Don't worry, we won't force you to eat in our company every day.'
'It would hardly be forcing,' Amidala chuckles. 'I always enjoy your company.'
'Just wait a few weeks,' your sister says. The tone of her voice causes your guests to look at her warily. She grins at them.
'Don't worry,' she says with a teasing glint in her eyes. 'I'm sure we'll have lots of fun!'
*
Next day, after a meeting with your parents and the Council, you find your guests in your sister's chambers, along with her. Anakin is sitting in a corner, while Astrariel is dragging Padmé to the couch, very excited. You hold back a smile when you notice her pulling out a sketchbook. You walk discreetly to Skywalker.
'Come with me,' you say quietly to him. He looks at you, surprised, and glances at Amidala. Your sister is showing her the sketches she's drawn.
'Don't worry, nothing will happen to Padmé,' you assure him. 'Besides, I just want to take you on the balcony. Trust me, when my sister gets her hands on her, she will occupy her for hours. And I'm afraid it may be a bit… dull for you.'
'I don't mind,' the Jedi tries to be brave. 'It's my job to guard the Senator, no matter how tedious it is.'
'Astrariel is going to drag you there any minute now and force you to watch the sketches of dresses,' you inform him. You almost burst out laughing at the horrified look on his face. He doesn't protest anymore and follows you on the balcony. But even when you gaze at the beautiful city below, you notice he's tense.
'You don't believe we can keep her safe,' you speak up after a moment. Anakin glances at you.
'I can't rely on others to do my job,' he says after a moment. 'Many believed she was safe at her apartment on Coruscant. But she wasn't. And… you were taken from here once.'
'Twice, actually,' you correct him and he looks at you with surprise. 'The first time was before I met you. Many years before.'
Skywalker notices your eyes becoming distant. You're lost in a memory. Clearly, judging by your solemn look, not a happy one.
'However, ever since I was kidnapped for the second time, my father has tightened up the security,' you say, blinking. 'But I understand your concern and admire how dutiful you are.'
The Jedi can't help but smile at your praise. You answer in kind.
'Obi-Wan will find the assassin, won't he?' you ask suddenly. He nods.
'Of course,' he confirms. 'I have no doubt about it.'
'But until then, you're our guest,' you say. 'And since your first visit was so short, you didn't have time to explore properly. Will you do me an honor of being your guide tomorrow?'
'The honor will be mine,' he says, giving you a slight bow. Immediately, you shove him gently. He gives you a surprised look.
'You're my friend, not my subject, so don't you dare bowing to me when we're alone,' you huff, irritated. Anakin grins.
'Yes, my lady,' he says teasingly. You glare at him and he chuckles. Your look softens.
'What is it?' he asks. You shake your head.
'It's nothing,' you answer. He hesitates, but finally decides to shove you a bit with his shoulder.
'Tell me,' he insists. 'Friends share their thoughts with each other.'
'Not all of them,' you say, rolling your eyes.
'Then share some with me,' he pleads. You think for a moment.
'I'm not too pushy with you, am I?' you ask, looking at him nervously. 'With insisting you're my friend and all?'
'No, no,' he denies, surprised, shaking his head. You exhale, relieved a bit.
'Let me know if I am,' you ask and gaze at the city. 'You see… as a princess I'm not having many friends. I'm not sure how to make them. But with you-'
'Yes?' he asks when you cut yourself off. You look at him again.
'I feel comfortable around you,' you explain slowly. 'And I think… this is how I should feel around a friend.'
Gently, you put your hand on top of his on the railing. He glances at it but doesn't pull his hand away.
'When I ran into you that day, you decided to help me even though you didn't know me,' you say. 'I understood why thanks to your story. And the fact you shared it with me and the stories of your adventures… it mattered a lot to me then. You'll always have a special place in my heart thanks to that.'
Anakin stares into your eyes, stunned. You're mesmerized by his beautiful eyes. Not really controlling it, you both lean in. But Padmé's laughter wakes you both up from your daze.
'I remember you promised me something,' Skywalker says when you take away your hand. You look at him, curious. He smirks at you.
'You promised me to tell me about your life,' he explains. You laugh.
'I doubt a boring life of a princess can be at all interesting to a Jedi,' you say, shaking your head. But he turns to fully face you and leans on his elbow, placing it on the railing.
'You promised,' he reminds you. You sigh.
'Very well,' you give in and start telling him about your life as a princess. You're both quiet when you're done.
'In a way, it's similar', Anakin says after a moment. 'Life of a princess and a Jedi. Obligations, duties, restrictions… The same, really.'
'Minus the adventures you have,' you say. Skywalker looks at you, a teasing glint in his eyes.
'Are you saying your life bores you, princess?' he asks. You raise your eyebrows at him.
'Do you want to switch for a day?' you ask. His face falls.
'No, thank you,' he denies. You chuckle and shake your head. A comfortable silence falls. You gaze at the city below, unaware of the Jedi's intense stare on you.
'Can I ask you something?' you suddenly ask.
'Anything,' he answers at once. You look at him, tilting your head.
'Jedi are supposed to represent and follow the light side of the Force,' you say. 'Why are you then forbidden to love? Isn't love the purest form of light?'
'Attachment is forbidden,' Anakin explains. 'It leads to fear. It leads to hate. And hate leads to the Dark Side. But compassion, an unconditional love, is central to a Jedi's life.'
'I see,' you answer, frowning. 'That's why you're taken for training when you're young. So you wouldn't attach to your family.'
Skywalker is silent. He nods after a moment.
'That's why they didn't want to train me,' he says, surprising you. 'I was found by Master Qui-Gon Jin when I was nine. I loved my mother. And I feared for her. Still do…'
He trails off. You bite your lip. You hesitate. You open your mouth to say something, but then your sister calls for you and Anakin. You exchange a look and return inside.
'What is it?' you ask. Astrariel grins at you, while Amidala holds back a laughter.
'Padmé wants to see the designs I already have sewed!' your sister says. Your face falls. You know what that means. All of the designs were sewed for your size…
'Absolutely not,' you refuse and Astrariel immediately gives you a puppy-eyes look. 'No, don't try this on me. I will not play a model in front of our guests.'
'Actually… I would like to see the Astrariel's made designs,' Skywalker speaks up. You look at him, betrayed. He smirks at you, a teasing glint in his eyes. Your sister squeals and claps her hands excitedly. She looks at you with triumph.
'See?' she asks. You sigh, your shoulders slumping.
'Fine, you won,' you say and point your finger at her, narrowing your eyes. 'But you owe me!'
The younger princess laughs as you leave. She chats with your friends until you return. First, they hear your voice from behind the door:
'If anyone is going to laugh, I will make them sit next to Lord Ferguri at dinner.'
'Oh, gods,' Astrariel whispers, horrified. 'Unless you want to have your food full of spit, don't laugh.'
No further explanation is made, because then the door opens and in you walk, wearing a pale green dress, decorated with flowers and leaves. You head toward your friends and give a slow twirl.
'Oh, that truly is beautiful,' Padmé sighs, looking closely at the design. 'I really think I may make you my personal designer.'
Your sister beams at her. Nervously, you glance at the padawan. He doesn't take his eyes off you, taking you in.
'Stunning,' he declares. You relax a bit, then turn and leave to change into another dress. When your back is turned, you sense someone still looking at you, very intensely.
You continue your little fashion show. Each design gets praises and words of admiration. You can't argue with that. You may not like being a model for your sister, but you definitely agree that she has a talent.
Finally, it's time for the last design. And as it usually is during fashion shows… it's a wedding dress. You feel very self-conscious when you walk in.
'Oh!' Padmé gasps, her eyes going wide. She stares at the white dress decorated with pink roses with admiration. It seems to be bouncing slightly as you move and golden glitter on your top shines in the sunlight. Your shoulders are uncovered, but your arms are, the sleeves becoming wider as they go down.
'If I'm ever going to get married, I want it to be in that dress,' Amidala declares and looks at Astrariel. 'Or something similar.'
'Done!' your sister says happily. 'And what do you think, Skywalker?'
'Anakin?' you ask, when the padawan doesn't answer. You look at him nervously. Your heart stops when you see his eyes staring at you… with something you can't quite name.
'Breathtakingly beautiful,' he finally says, but his gaze is locked onto your eyes. You shiver. What is wrong with you?
'I'm so happy you like them!' Astrariel says and starts talking about new ideas she already has. But you don't listen to her. You're too lost into certain blue eyes.
*
Next day, as promised, you take Anakin and Padmé for a tour of the capital. Well, the Senator has already seen it a few times, so she's mostly talking and laughing with Astrariel, who's there with you as well. They're walking a few feet ahead of you and the Jedi. Somehow, neither of you mind it.
At some point, you're no longer talking about history of the capital nor your planet. The conversation between you and Skywalker becomes more private. He flusters you when he asks you about your first crush.
'I don't know…' you sigh, trying to change the subject.
'Sure you do,' Anakin doesn't give up. 'You just don't want to tell me.'
'Are you going to use one of your Jedi mind tricks on me?' you tease him.
'They only work on the weak-minded,' he says and looks you in the eyes. 'You are anything but weak-minded.'
Your smile drops. You stare at him with a frown. But he's serious, you can tell. Flushed, you turn your gaze from him.
'All right, I was thirteen,' you give up with a sigh. 'He was fifteen and was a son of a senator of one of the planets. He was very cute. Dark curly hair. Dreamy eyes.'
'All right, I get the picture,' Skywalker says, suddenly grumpy. 'Whatever happened to him?'
'He left,' you answer, shrugging, and buy some local fruits for you two. 'He was just for a visit. His father finished his term and he didn't follow into his footsteps, but became an architect. He had no reason to come here again. And I couldn't come where he was, as my lessons about being a queen didn't allow that.'
'Maybe he was the smart one,' the Jedi says. You barely hold back an amused smile.
'You really don't like politicians, do you?' you ask.
'I like two or three, but I'm not really sure about one of them,' he answers, a mischievous glint in his eyes. You get the hint and you both chuckle. But Anakin suddenly stops smiling.
'I don't think the system works,' he says. You tilt your head, interested.
'How would you have it work?' you ask.
'We need a system where the politicians sit down and discuss the problems, agree what's in the best interests of all the people, and then do it,' he answers.
'That is exactly what the Senate does,' you say. 'The trouble is that people don't always agree. In fact, they hardly ever do. Both politicians and other people.'
'Well, then they should be made to,' Skywalker says. You stop, causing him to stop as well, and frown at him.
'By whom?' you ask with disbelief. 'You?'
'Of course not me,' he quickly denies.
'But someone,' you almost scoff.
'Someone wise,' the Jedi says. You shake your head.
'That sounds an awful lot like a dictatorship to me,' you say. A mischievous little grin creeps across Anakin's face.
'Well, if it works…' he says. You stare at him. He looks back at you, straight-faced, and can't hold back a smile. You huff.
'You're making fun of me,' you realize.
'On no, I'd be much too frightened to tease a princess,' he says sarcastically. You huff, annoyed.
'You're so bad!' you say, annoyed, and throw your fruit at him. He catches it. There's a deep look in his eyes.
'You're always so serious,' he says. 'Always carrying the weight of the universe on your shoulders.'
'Not the universe,' you say, forcing a light tone in your voice to defuse this strange tension. 'Just my planet.'
'Everyone deserves a bit of fun, even princesses,' he says, putting a strand of hair behind your ear. You shiver at the touch. Your heart is beating fast. When did you move so close to each other?
'Hey!' a voice destroys the moment. You and Skywalker pull away quickly and turn your heads. You see Astrariel and Padmé pushing their way through the crowd to you.
'Why did you get behind?' your sister demands.
'Well, may I remind you we're giving our guests a tour,' you say teasingly. 'That means stopping and admiring the city.'
The younger princess looks around doubtfully. You're standing near a butcher and a shop with dungs. She raises her eyebrows.
'Yeah, because there's so much to admire here,' she snorts. You walk past her, your head high, praying not to blush.
'Every job is important, dear sister,' you say. 'Everyone has their part to do to keep our planet blooming and we should admire that.'
Astrariel murmurs something under her breath but follows you without further questions. Anakin and Padmé exchange an amused look and do the same.
Soon after you're walking through a meadow with horses grazing there. It's your sister's favorite place. She mounts one horse and invites Padmé for a competition. You expect Skywalker to protest or at least ride after them. But instead, he climbs on one of the horses and… stands on it. The animal, starts riding.
Skywalker waves his arms wildly, trying to maintain the balance. You can't help it and start laughing. He looks at you and grins.
But suddenly the horse bucks, and he falls off. You laugh even harder. However, he lies still. Frightened, you run to him.
'Anakin!' you call. 'Anakin, are you all right?'
When you reach him and turn him over, he's already laughing. You yelp in mock fury and take a swing at him. He catches your arm. You struggle. You roll over in the grass until you're on top of him, laughing.
Suddenly, you become aware of the contact between you two. You let go of each other quickly and sit up, looking away. Your face is flushed and your heart is beating furiously.
Anakin stands up and holds out his hand to you. You stare at it for a moment, then take it. He pulls you up. You look each other in the eyes. You smile suddenly, the tension suddenly gone. You feel relaxed around him again.
'Hey!' you hear your sister voice, interrupting you again. You turn your heads and see her riding on the same horse as Padmé. Astrariel is blushing.
'Um… I sort of fell from my horse and it galloped away,' she admits. You stare at her blankly. You and Skywalker exchange a look. Then, to your sister's outrage, you start laughing. She's so mad at you, she's refusing to speak to you all the way back.
You arrive just in time for supper. You eat together with your parents. Astrariel and Anakin goof around together, making you all laugh. You and Padmé look at each other and smile.
It's strange. You can't remember the last time you felt this… happy. Peaceful. It's always fun when Amidala is around. But it's even better now. Without even wanting to, your eyes land on the young padawan.
Soon after, you're all going to sleep. When you wake up the next morning, you go to the Senator's room after you dress. You find her on the balcony… with Skywalker. They both look troubled.
'Did something happen?' you ask, walking to them with a frown. They both look at you. Anakin gulps.
'I… I have to go on Tatooine,' he says. 'My mother… she's in danger. I know it.'
'He's been having nightmares,' Padmé explains. 'Of her in pain, calling for him. He has to save her. I'm going with him. Could you get us a ship, please?'
You stare at them, a conflict clear in your eyes. Padmé stares at you calmly, the decision already made. And Anakin… The pleading look gives you breaks your heart. You sigh.
'Come with me,' you say and turn around. They both hurry after you. You don't give them time to grab anything. When they point it out, you say they won't need anything. You take them to your speeder. You whisper something in the driver's ear.
'Certainly, my lady,' he says and starts the engine. All three of you are very anxious on your way to your destination. Skywalker and Amidala even more, when they realize you're not taking them anywhere near port. When they question you about it, you ask them to be patient.
Finally, you arrive on some farm. Your companions are puzzled, but both decide you must have some hidden ship here. However, you stop a few feet away from a small cottage. You play with your hands nervously and look at Anakin with guilt in your eyes.
'I've been struggling whether I should tell you about it ever since you arrived,' you say. 'But there's no question about it now. You should know.'
'Know what?' Skywalker asks, frowning. But at that moment the door to the hut open and a woman walks out. She gasps.
'Ani?' she asks with disbelief. The Jedi stares at her with shock.
'Mom?' he asks, his voice trembling. They run to each other and embrace tightly. Padmé is shocked as well. You smile at the reunion.
'How are you here?' Anakin asks, crying with joy. His mother glances at you. You sigh.
'Let's come inside,' you say and you all get into the hut, where your companions meet Cliegg Lars, Shmi's husband, his son Owen and his wife Beru. You sit down around a kitchen table. Everyone looks at you. After a minute you start a story from a month after you met Skywalker and Kenobi.
*
You and your father arrived on Tatooine to resolve some dispute with Jabba the Hut. You were not pleased about it, as you condemn slavery, but your father explained that sometimes a ruler has no choice and it's always wise to listen, even if you despise the person you're talking with. You thought (and still do) this is complete bul- nonsense.
Still, you behaved well during the meeting with Jabba. Even though you wanted to at least insult him. Your father could tell. So, as a reward and a way for you to cool down, he allowed you to spend the rest of the day the way you wanted. You decided to take a walk around, see how the people there were living.
Your mood dampened quickly. Most of the people there were poor. Or were slaves. It's a truly wretched place. You wished you could do something to help them out. But you knew you couldn't fix everything.
You were having those thoughts, when suddenly someone bumped into you. The things they were carrying, spilled on the ground. It was a woman.
'I am so sorry,' she said, quickly lowering herself to pick up some spare parts for machines. 'I really am. I hope I can make it up to you somehow, my lady.'
'It's all right,' you quickly assure her and start helping her out. 'Nothing happened. I wasn't looking where I was going.'
'Oh, no, you don't have to do that,' the woman says, flustered. You smile at her.
'But I want to,' you say and gather some things for her. You both stand up then and you pass her the things. Your guards and maid stayed out of it, thank gods. They were told to keep an eye on you but not act as they're your protectors, so not to attract attention to you.
'Thank you,' the woman said. 'If there is anything I can do for you in return…'
'There's no need,' you replied, shaking your head. 'Like I said, I wasn't looking where I was going. This looks heavy, though. I could help you carry it. There's no problem, really.'
The woman wanted to protest. But you're having none of it. You could see she's a slave. You might not be able to help everyone, but if you could make a life of one slave easier, you were going to do it. You helped her carry her things to one of the shops.
'Thank you for your kindness,' she said when you handed them back to her. 'I hope I can repay you one day.'
'I wish I could help you more,' you said with sorrow but offer her a smile. 'I'm [Y/N], by the way.'
'Shmi,' the woman introduced herself. 'Shmi Skywalker.'
Your smile dropped. Your eyes went wide from shock. From all the people to meet…
'Skywalker?' you repeat with disbelief. 'You're Anakin's mother?'
Now it's the woman that's shocked. She opened her mouth to say something, but then someone from the shop called for her. She winced. She hesitated. It was clear she wanted to stay, ask you about her son… but she had to obey her master. So, reluctantly, she quickly bided you goodbye and hurried back inside.
You stood where you were, surprised. That's how your father found you.
'Are you okay?' he asked, worried about the frown on your face.
'I just met Anakin's mother,' you answered. The King was surprised by it as well. What he's not surprised by, is the pleading look you gave him.
'You know we can't,' he said before you could say anything. 'And especially not now. It could jeopardize the negotiations.'
'Or… it could actually help them,' you argued. 'If you bought her-'
'We're not buying slaves,' your father barked. 'We're not supporting slavery.'
'- and then gave her freedom,' you finished your thought, 'you'd show Jabba that you respect his position but also stand by your morals.'
Your father stared at you, thinking it over. Finally, he sighed.
'I'm sure I'll regret it yet,' he murmured and went where Anakin's mother had. You waited, impatient. But finally, he returned with confused Shmi. Her eyes went wide when she noticed you.
'You-' she started.
'[Y/N], return to our… accommodations,' Andrrei interrupted her. 'Ms. Skywalker and I will take care of formalities.'
'Formalities?' Anakin's mother asked, confused. The King looked at her.
'Concerning your freedom,' he explained. Shmi looked at him, stunned. Nevertheless, she followed him. You grinned and together with your escort returned to the place you'd been staying at.
A few hours later, your father returned with Skywalker and a protocol droid. You learnt his name is C-3PO and had been made by little Anakin. Andrrei exchanged a few words with you and then left. You turned to Shmi, who was very nervous. She quickly curtsies, noticing your gaze.
'Your Highness,' she said. You smiled and walked to her. You took her hands in yours.
'Please, there's no need for this,' you said and led her to your bed. You both sat down on it. You sighed and chuckled nervously.
'I owe you an apology,' you said and she looked at you, surprised. 'My father and I took you without asking for your opinion on the matter.'
'I'm very grateful to be free again, Your Highness,' Anakin's mother said and looked away. 'Just…'
'Yes?' you gently prompted her. She sighed.
'A certain farmer has…' she started and blushed, '… been planning to set me free. He's been putting his money away to buy my freedom.'
'You're in love with each other,' you guessed. 'And if you want to remain free, you have to leave with us. I'm sorry.'
'Don't be,' Shmi said, shaking her head with a soft smile. 'I'm glad to be a free woman again.'
At that moment your supper was brought. You mulled over the problem during it.
'Would he be willing to leave with us?' you asked at some point, surprising Skywalker. 'We could find both you a job in the capital.'
'The farm has been in his family for generations,' Anakin's mother says slowly. 'Besides… he has a son and he's been courting a girl.'
'There are no things we wouldn't do for a true love,' you said. 'What's his name? We can pay him a visit tomorrow and explain the situation.'
'Cliegg Larson,' Skywalker answered and explained to you how to reach his farm. You nodded, already decided to at least try to bring two lovers together. You just had to convince your father to that idea. And the Lars family.
Needn't any of you worried. Cliegg loved Shmi so much, he's willing to leave Tattooine behind to be with her. He's supposed to join you a few months after your return, as he had to take care of things. Plus, Owen wanted to properly marry Beru, so she could leave with them. Anakin's mother was very pleased with the outcome. Your father not as much, but he was happy to do the right thing.
A few days later the negotiations came to an end. Your thoughts were correct and buying Shmi her freedom had helped you resolve the conflict your family had with Jabba. Both sides were pleased and it was time to go back home.
'I can't thank you enough for your kindness, my lady,' Skywalker said, as you were boarding your ship. You shook your head.
'I told you told you to call me by my name,' you chided her. 'And besides, I'm also returning a favor. Your son saved my life, as I told you.'
'And I'm very proud of him,' Anakin's mother said with a smile. 'But still… you didn't have to do that.'
You decided to leave the matter be. You boarded the ship and focused on C-3PO, who was very excited to be on a spaceship for the first time. You smiled. This droid was a bit odd, but you definitely liked him.
'Do you think…' Shmi started slowly, '… that I'm going to see him again?'
'Who knows?' you asked, knowing who she's talking about. 'I wouldn't be surprised. But to be honest, I'm not sure whether we can inform him you're with us. Jedi are supposed to leave their families behind. They don't visit them after they leave. But your son… he already had a bond with you. I think he would be eager to visit you every now and then, as our planet is closer to Coruscant. And I'm not sure if that's good…'
'I understand,' Skywalker said with a sad smile. 'Still, I will be hoping our paths will cross again one day.'
'So will I,' you said quietly and looked away. 'So will I…'
*
'Like we promised, we joined a few months later,' Owen finishes the story and smiles. 'And then these two got married.'
'I'm sorry I kept it secret from you,' you say to Anakin. 'I felt that you should know, but on the other hand, the Jedi Code-'
'I understand,' Skywalker interrupts you, smiling at you with tears in his eyes, and reaches out to squeeze your hand. 'I do. And I'm glad you decided to tell me.'
'It's not like I had a choice,' you say, frowning with worry. 'Otherwise, you'd fly to Tatooine and wouldn't find your mother. Who knows how that would end.'
'Yes,' Padmé says slowly. 'But it makes me curious… Why did Anakin have those dreams, then? His mother is completely safe.'
'Maybe it's a warning of what's to come?' the Jedi asks, anxious.
'Or someone wanted you to come to Tatooine,' you suggested.
'Who would have such power to influence dreams of a Jedi?' Beru asks. You immediately notice a shadow passing over Anakin's face. You guess he has an idea. But it's also not your business. You you're relieved when C-3PO arrives, averting the attention to him, as he's glad to see his creator again.
You leave the house a few hours later on your own. You hurry to the palace, already late for a meeting. Unfortunately, it's a first of many. You manage to meet with others only later in the evening. Or rather with young padawan, as Padmé went to sleep, tired after the day with Lars family.
'Judging by your smile, it was a good day,' you say, sitting down next to Skywalker on the floor. He's been trying to meditate. He grins at you.
'Yes,' he confirms. 'I'm very grateful to Senator Berugha he offered Padmé to arrive here. And I'm very grateful you freed my mother.'
Again, he reaches out and takes your hand in his. For a minute you stare at your joined hands.
'It was a right thing to do,' you said. 'And… I was repaying my debt. You saved my life, remember?'
'And I'd to it a thousand more times, without you needing to answer in kind,' Skywalker says with a surprising passion. 'What you did for me… You gave me a peace of mind. I know she'll be safe here. And happy. I think I can now really focus on my training for a Jedi.'
'I'm glad,' you say. You smile at each other. Slowly, you move closer… but a sudden noise outside makes you jump apart. You look at each other and laugh.
'Well, I better go,' you say and stand up, Anakin quickly doing the same. 'Another busy day tomorrow, I'm afraid. But I'll tell my driver to take you and Padmé to your mother again.'
'You're too kind, [Y/N],' Skywalker says, already excited, but suddenly he becomes serious and kisses your hand. 'Goodnight, my lady.'
'Goodnight, Anakin,' you say, surprised. You quickly leave the room, blushing for some reason. You're not aware of the stare the Jedi gives you.
Next day you see with others in the afternoon, as Skywalker, Amidala and your sister burst into your father's room along with R2-D2. You're there as well, helping your father with his mail. The sudden appearance and panicked looks on their faces startle you.
'What happened?' the King asks, already raising to his feet.
'We just got a message from Obi-Wan,' the padawan says and looks at the droid. 'Artoo, play it again, please.'
R2-D2 projects a hologram of Kenobi. You and your father focus on it.
'Anakin, my long-range transmitter has been knocked out,' it says. 'Retransmit this message to Coruscant. I have tracked the bounty hunter Jango Fett to the droid foundries on Geonosis. The Trade Federation is to take taking delivery of a droid army here and it is clear that Viceroy Gunray is behind the assassination attempts on Senator Amidala. The Commerce Guilds and Corporate Alliance have both pledged their armies to Count Dooku and are forming a- Wait. Wait!'
You watch, stunned as Obi-Wan is attacked by Droidekas. The hologram cuts off. You and your father exchange a startled look. The King quickly becomes stoic, though. He looks seriously at Skywalker.
'I assume you already sent this to the Council,' he says and the padawan nods. 'What are they going to do?'
'They are going to go to rescue him,' Anakin answers. Andrrei rubs his chin thoughtfully. Finally, he nods.
'I assume your orders are the same,' he says to Skywalker. 'You are to remain here and protect Senator Amidala.
'Yes, Your Majesty,' the Jedi confirms, clearly displeased with this.
'But they'll never get there in time to save him,' Padme puts in. 'They have to come halfway across the galaxy. We are much closer.'
You know that look on her face. Andrrei also does. He looks at her sternly.
'You are going to remain here,' he says and she opens her mouth to protest. 'That is not up for a discussion. Those people want you dead. You are safe here. Moreover, you don't jeopardize Anakin's future. He must protect you and obey the orders of the Jedi Council. He can only do both here. So, you're staying. But don't worry, Anakin. We're not leaving Obi-Wan alone.'
Skywalker and Amidala look at him, puzzled. You and your sister give him worried looks. He smiles at you softly and caresses Astrariel's cheek.
'If it weren't for you and Master Kenobi, things would have gone different years ago,' he says, looking at the padawan. 'I always remember what you did for my family. I'd like to repay your kindness. I'm going to take my army and help Obi-Wan, like he helped me.'
'Your Majesty-'Anakin protests with wide eyes. The King silences him with a raised hand.
'I made my decision,' he says, but notices the struggle in padawan's eyes. 'Girls, if you could leave us alone for a moment.'
You nod and take your friend and sister out of the room. Skywalker looks at your father with worry. But he calmly walks to his window, inviting the Jedi to join him. For a moment they stare at the city below.
'I know how you feel,' the King says. 'You want to rush and help your master, but you also don't want to disappoint him by disobeying orders.'
Anakin nods. Andrrei glances at him.
'Helplessness for someone who is a fighter, wants to protect the people they care about, is the worst form of torture,' he says. 'Even if people who are tasked with helping the one you want to save are skilled the same or even better than them.'
'Exactly,' Skywalker agrees, nodding vigorously.
'Helplessness was killing me a few years ago, when I asked you and Obi-Wan to find [Y/N],' the King continues and the Jedi freezes. 'I wanted to turn the city over. Mobilize the entire population to find her. Throw myself at those I thought were responsible. But I trusted you two that you would bring my daughter home, safe and sound. Today, I'm asking you to trust me that I can help Obi-Wan. Can you?'
They look at each other. Andrrei's gaze is calm, soft. Padawan's is nervous, anxious. But finally, Anakin nods.
'Of course, Your Majesty,' he says. The King clasps his arm and smiles.
'We'll be back before you know it,' he promises. 'And in the meantime, continue protecting the Senator. And… be a friend for [Y/N]. I don't think I've seen her laugh so much even around Padmé. And she's going to need it now.'
'I will do my best, Your Majesty,' Skywalker vows, bowing his head with respect. Andrrei lets go of him.
'Hurry back to your friends,' he says. 'I must make my preparations.'
Half an hour later you're all gathered to see your father and the army off. The King says his goodbye to everyone one by one. Astrariel hugs him tightly, bravely holding back tears. Your mother whispers something to her husband, clutching to him. He offers last words of advice to Padmé and Anakin. Then, he walks to you.
'You will do great,' he says, as he takes off his signet. 'It's not the first time.'
'It's always terrifying,' you say glumly. 'Do come back, please. I'm not ready to take over yet. I still have much to learn from you.'
Your father only smiles and hands you his signet. You accept it grimly.
'All will be well,' he says and turns to leave. You look at him, struggling.
'Father!' you finally shout, running after him. He turns and barely manages to open his arms to catch you in them.
'Be safe,' you whisper, hugging him tightly.
'And you be brave, my amazing daughter,', he murmurs and kisses your cheek. Then, he lets go and joins others on the ship. You watch it start and fly with a heavy heart.
'What was that your father gave [Y/N]?' Anakin asks your sister, watching your back.
'His signet,' Astrariel murmurs. 'It marks her as his successor and ruler during his absence.'
'But why does she need that?' Padmé asks, puzzled. 'I mean, she's his eldest daughter.'
'But she's not yet the crown heir to the throne,' your mother explains. 'And anyway, it's easier if you have the signet that was given willingly. No one can question her position.'
Skywalker and Amidala have more questions. But you turn and walk to them, then past them. They observe as you climb the stairs. Somehow you seem different. As if the burden you were given, was visible with the way you walk.
*
You watch with others the meeting of the Senate. When the Chancellor is granted emergency powers, you close your eyes. But when you open them, you see Padmé hanging her head at the news of forming the army of the Republic. She fought so hard against it…
'Things are going to be so different now,' your mother says.
'But… that means they're going to send those Clones to save Obi-Wan, right?' Astrariel asks. 'They will help dad and our army?'
'But at what cost?' Lyra asks.
'What are your thoughts of this?' Anakin asks you.
'Violence always leads to violence,' you answer after a beat. 'One feels safer with the army watching over them. But it all comes to it how much we can trust those who lead the said army. I have to go.'
'Where?' Amidala asks, turning her head after you. You grab your datapad.
'I must discuss with the Council what does it mean for our planet,' you answer and look at your mother. 'You're coming?'
'I'll join you soon,' she answers. You nod and head out. Lyra sighs and looks out of the window, worried.
'I'm sorry, Padmé,' she says. 'I know how much it meant to you.'
'Like Astrariel said,' Amidala says and forces a smile, 'at least they can help Obi-Wan and the King.'
Lyra hums and closes her eyes. She feels there are bad things ahead in all your futures.
It's the next day, when you burst into your sister's room, startling her, the padawan and the Senator. Your eyes are wide, but they see relief in them.
'Dad is coming back,' you inform them. Astrariel exhales, relaxing. But the Jedi looks at you, anxious.
'And Obi-Wan?' he asks. You look at him sadly.
'He didn't say,' you answer and turn. 'Come on.'
They hurry after you. You're not sure how much time has passed, when you finally see the ship landing in front of you. The wounded are taken out first. And there are so many of them…
'The battle was awful, Your Majesty,' General Juando, your father's best friend, says, as he helps one of the wounded. 'But the King is safe and sound.'
'Thank the gods,' your mother says, sending the General a smile. But soon she's rushing forward, because your father is leaving the ship. He gathers her in his arms and holds her close to his body. You watch them with a smile. You want to have the same kind of love one day.
'I see my home is still standing,' Andrrei says, letting go of his wife. 'No fires?'
'You will never let us forget that one time, huh?' Astrariel asks, rolling her eyes. Your father chuckles and hugs her when she runs into his arms.
'Never,' he promises and kisses the top of her head.
'Long story,' you say, seeing puzzled look of Skywalker and Amidala. 'The main point is we once set the palace on fire when dad was away.'
'You must tell me the longer version,' the Jedi says, grinning. You wink at him and focus on your father who comes to you. You kiss each other's kiss and gladly hand him back the signet.
'There are no riots or people to calm down,' you report. 'But the discussion about the Clone Army isn't over.'
'I've expected that,' the King sighs. 'Still, we wouldn't be here if it weren't for them showing up. And the Jedi, of course. Speaking of. There's someone here who wants to see you.'
He turns and you follow his gaze. At that moment you see Kenobi descending the ship.
'Obi-Wan!' Anakin shouts, relieved, and rushes to his master. The two men hug. As you get closer, you hear the older Jedi murmur 'I'm proud of you' to his younger colleague. You smile.
'Are you alright?' Astrariel asks. The men move away from each other. Kenobi grins.
'Oh, no worse for the wear,' he says and nods at your father. 'I am very grateful for the rescue. And fighting be your side, Your Majesty, was an honor.'
'Likewise, Master Jedi,' the King says with a grin. 'Next time we must spar.'
He gets a laugh as his answer. Your mother quickly ushers them inside.
'You're all exhausted, wounded and dirty,' she says. 'Off you go. I will not have anyone not taken care of.'
'Yes, Your Majesty,' two warriors answer at the same time. They share a grin. Something tells you they have become close friends.
Next day, it's time to say goodbye. It has been declared that there is no threat to Padmé's life. Her assassin is dead and the one who ordered the kill, has other things to worry about now. So, Obi-Wan and Anakin are to take her back to Naboo and then return to Coruscant. The war has begun and the Jedi are going to be a big part of it.
'I still don't like it,' you say, as you watch the Clones preparing the ship for take-off. 'I mean, they're the clones of the man that was after Padmé. Also, we have no idea who ordered to create them in the first place.'
'We need them and they've already proven to be a great asset,' Kenobi says. You hum, not satisfied. You poke him in the chest.
'You must be careful,' you say sternly. 'I'm sure my dad will hurry to your rescue any time you need, and I don't want to be a regent too many times.'
'I'll do my best,' the Jedi chuckles. He hugs you briefly and goes to chat with your sister and Amidala. Skywalker uses this opportunity to walk to you.
'Did you say goodbye to your mother?' you ask quietly. He nods grimly.
'It was hard… but I feel better with the knowledge she's safe here,' he says and looks at you. 'I took Obi-Wan with me, like you advised. He was surprised but admitted it was a good decision to take her here and tell me about it. He is worried about my nightmares, though.'
'Did they stop?' you ask. He nods.
'After the battle of Genosis,' he confirms. You both ponder this for a moment. Suddenly, he looks behind you.
'I can't tell you how grateful my mother and I are to you for what you've done,' he says. 'Words cannot express it. So, we hope you can accept this gift.'
You turn, surprised, and see C-3PO, refreshed with new covers, coming to you. You look at your friend with wide eyes.
'There's no need-' you start but he silences you with a raised hand.
'Mom doesn't need a protocolar droid anyway,' he says and shrugs. 'Me neither. But a princess that is to become a queen… Please, don't make me beg.'
'I guess I would be grateful for his help,' you sigh. He grins at you. Suddenly, his look softens and he takes your hands in his.
'I hope I'll see you again someday,' he says quietly. You look at your joined hands.
'I hope so, too,' you murmur. 'You're… my best friend, Anakin. And you're an extraordinary Jedi. I can't wait to see all that you will accomplish once you become a Jedi Knight.'
He grins. You can't help but smile back.
'Even if I am going to be one someday, it's still not going to be the title I'm going to be the proudest of,' he says, puzzling you. 'Being your best friend is.'
You laugh and pull him in for a hug. He holds you close to himself.
'Be safe, Anakin,' you beg in a whisper.
'And you be strong, [Y/N],' he murmurs. 'You're going to be the best queen this planet has seen. But you still have time for that. Just don't lose hope in yourself.'
'You neither,' you say. You reluctantly let each other go. You look each other in the eyes, hoping to say with them what your lips cannot.
Last goodbyes are made and soon you watch your friends leaving. You stay a moment longer than your family. A shiver runs through your body. You hug yourself.
'Gods, have them in your care,' you whisper. 'For now everything is going to be so different… They will need it.'
'Mistress [Y/N]?' C-3PO asks, troubled. You force a smile at him.
'Come, C-3PO,' you say and turn to the stairs to the palace. 'It's time to start a new day.'

During his three (going on four) years at sea, Hans has written a lot of letters. They were mostly addressed to one person. They were never sent.
Dear Brother,
It's been six years since we talked. Three since I've seen you for the last time.
If I could, I would love to tell you about everything I've seen, heard and done during those years. I wish I could tell you all about my new life. Treasures I've discovered. Long lost cities everyone deemed to be just a legend (you would love it, a lot of ruins to be studied). All the magic and wonders found both on sea and on land.
I'd like to introduce you to my new friends to my new family. I know they would love you.
I would just like you to know that I am alive and well. To be honest, I've never been this happy in my entire life.
But then again, I imagine you wouldn't like to hear about it. I know I've ruined everything and you don't want to have anything to do with me. That's fair. I have to respect that. But sometimes, when I can't sleep, I close my eyes and try to remember your voice as you were telling me something about history. I regret I wasn't paying enough attention. I guess I just took it for granted.
I am trying to convince myself I don't miss you, but I know I'm just lying to myself. I do miss you, I miss you so much, every day. It's ridiculous, because we weren't even that close and I know you were nice to me not because you particularly adored me, but because that's just who you are as a person. But you were my only safe space. And even if I understand why you didn't come to see me after what had happened in Arendelle, it hurts. I don't blame you, I am taking full responsibility for it - but it just still hurts.
I would do anything to set this straight and to make it right again. And even though I am an outlaw now and I intend to stay that way, I swear I try the hardest I can to be a better man than I proved myself to be.
I just wish I could ever make it up to you. I wish I could say how sorry I am for all the shame I caused.
For all its worth, I hope you will be able to forget all about me, at some point. You have enough siblings, after all, it should be easy enough to let go of one.
But I will never forget you. My only big brother among all of my older brothers.
It is a middle of the night when I write those words. You would probably scold me for staying up so late. And then you would stay up even longer, with your books.
But I am younger and you are right. It is way past my bedtime. I will go to sleep now, I have a lot to do tomorrow. Let me just burn this letter first.
Let’s start with Gao Yang’s fabulous pretty prince(ss) aesthetic and amazing performance! He owned the stage and showed so much personality and charm, I was just blown away.
And then sweet Liang Pengjie comes out and delivers that wonderful, energetic, thrilling performance. Every one of his 兄弟们 was radiating their pride and joy at him throughout that song, and made me incredibly emotional. 加油,朋朋!And seeing them all crying at the end, especially Fang Shujian, was so touching!
Of course, seeing the outrageous success of darling Lars Huang Zihongfan (who currently has over 8 million fans on Weibo!) is a delight. He was a dang FETUS on 声入人心, for crying out loud. And now he’s a star. Watching his ascent is thrilling. (Unfortunately, the audio appears to be deliberately distorted during his performance above. Whyyy? Hopefully they’ll post the clip by itself on YouTube, but they did post on Weibo… https://h5.video.weibo.com/show/1034:5111819124277305 )
Frank Ju Hongchuan is one of my favorites for a lot of reasons. His voice is a grounding note that ties the others together and provides a solid foundation for beautiful music. He writes great songs, and can arrange the heck out of a song for an ensemble. But honestly? He just seems so sincere, and like a good friend to the brothers (including Dalong, whose absence is felt every week, but who is always remembered fondly on Frank’s Weibo!). He supports them all in their endeavors, posting about their projects and celebrating their successes. He cries openly out of sheer, unbridled affection, and I’ve gotta say, that’s a beautiful thing.
The presentation of 风声 is something I hoped would happen from the beginning, so I’m so excited to finally get to see what they’ve been working on! Seeing the shadow puppets come into play was so dang satisfying! And hearing all the random snippets of music played at the mystery house, coming to life in this staging? Aaaahhh! I’m a wreck! Every one of them is killing it and all of this is making me want to fly around the world to see this show when it’s produced.
And the rehearsal outtakes of Qi Yu and Liang Pengjie! 😂 Lovable goofballs!
Seeing the four babies come together to revisit one of their wonderful performances from 声入人心 absolutely broke me. I was a weepy mess.
They followed that with a high energy performance from two of the opera bros, Hong Zhiguang and Ma Jia, which I needed to pull myself together after getting so emotional over the boys.
And then… right back to making me cry, with Frank and Gao Yang singing one of my favorite songs, 《大船》. Dear lord, it’s so beautiful. Their voices are so good together. And Ayanga looked as emotional as I was during this song. (Possibly for the same reason…) GAAAAAHHHHH. I am still so worked up over this performance! This arrangement!
We end with a pair of group songs, including the inevitable Auld Lang Syne. A beautiful weep fest. A wonderful episode. I will be rewatching this one repeatedly. And crying. 😭
Hello dear 👋🏻👋🏻 how its going? Has your uni situation got better? For this weekend question:
Since your big love towards drummers (you know about Lars, Nicko, Keith, Bonham ecc...) I was wondering, can you describe whats so special about them? Like in terms of ability, style, and the personal influence that they had on you😄 and why so you like that instrument so much? you can make a list of your favourites if you want❤️
(Hope that this is clear🫣)
Hello!
It's going somehow good, I could rest this weekend, like yay! After two weeks of constant working!
The uni situation got better, I have the worst week behind me, but I still have two big tests and then exams *sobs*
*looks at the question* Oh God girl, you are up for a motherfucking essay...
Okay, I will tackle it this way. I will first answer on the question why I like drums so much.
This is a very simple story. My only real and first experience with music was in preschool. We had those music lessons with one older teacher, she was a very nice, older woman. We either had dancing, singing or playing with instruments, the third being most rare. I know I once or twice got my tiny hands on a simple drum, a tiny one, but I loved playing it. I didn't want to give it away, I wanted to drum - was so sad when I couldn't get it tho, but I was so glad for those two times! I remember I told my mom about it, I probably was hoping that she will catch the hint that hey, I love that instrument, can I drum? But that didn't happen and here I am, grinning like an idiot whenever I see a drum set - my friend, who works in choir sends me pics if she sees a drum set or the big big drum the ones used in orchestra (gosh I love the big BOOM of them, aaaaa!). I have that one dream and it's being able to somehow play the drums one day - if I don't find anyone, which is very likely, I'll keep living with parents, get a job in the next year, try to find a place for eventual drum set and buy it, later wondering how the fuck should I carry it around XD
And now to the drummers! I think I'll make a list of like 10 drummers and try to describe them - I will show their drum sets, of course I will show those beauties!
No. 10 - Lars Ulrich
I don't listen to Metallica at all right now, but I can't just ignore the guy, even when I heard Metallica after listening to The Who and was like: "Damn, Lars, you ain't nothing special" XD So he's always closing up the list, because I have to mention him. He was the one who made me notice drumming once more, I'll say even more, the one who made me realize that I like to hear drums. I heard him play back in 2009, so I was 11 years old and you know, you kind of don't realize a lot of things at this age, but damn does the drumming in "All Nightmare Long" kicked me in my face. Soft drumming just to make it FUCKING LOUD, not the fastest of his, but very powerful and most of all, it's louder than that fucking guitar, like yes, this is how it's suppose to be guys! But the favorite stays and will stay for all eternity, fucking "Dyers Eve". Rough drumming at the beginning, long intro, drumming slowing down just to go FUCKING NUTS THE REST OF THE WAY. I actually listen to the song I'll mention and now I'm listening to Dyers Even and I can hear those two bass drums and like only now I realize how someone else influenced my style. Here's the beauty Lars plays on:
No. 9 - Rick Allen
A very fresh drummer on this list. I've never wasn't a fan of Def Leppard, but I've finally gave them a fair chance thanks to @jimmysdragonsuit13 and I have to admit, I was wrong about them on so many levels. "Bringin' On The Heartbreak" changed it all. Drumming in this one is soft, but it still has that power Rick has in his arms while playing. See, I like when there is heard that power in hitting the drums when drummer plays. When there's power, the drumming sounds so good that I can actually lay down and fly away on a cloud, not noticing it. I have a soft spot for rhythmical guys - that's why someone is very high on the list - and Rick fills that spot just right. Plus, you know? "Switch 625" exists and if that ain't the true beauty of Rick's drumming then I don't know what is. Plus, he still slays with one arm - he sounds better than 99% of modern drummers, no I don't regret saying that. He had no influence on me, but he convinced me to the band, good for him XD And the beauty he plays on:
No. 8 - Dave Grohol
New one as well, @radioroger presented him to me again, after I forgot Nirvana existed. Then dad wanted them on his phone again and I listened and I was like: "I hear John fucking Bonham in his style" and I wasn't mistaken! Bonzo was the biggest influence for Dave and God bless for that, because Dave sounds amazing. Powerful, quick whenever he has to, the drums are the lead instrument - LIKE THEY SHOULD BE - and they're just fucking loud. His style is also very heavy, but once you get in the rhythm you just flow. The best example of his drumming for me is "Radio Friendly Unit Shifter". It's aggressive, rhythmical, very Bonzo like and I love it (the boom-boom on the bass drums <3)! No major influence, but I do remember hearing Nirvana once in a while and I already loved his drumming when I was younger. "In Bloom" being the song that convinced me to Nirvana years ago. And the beauty he plays on:
No. 7 - Jordi
I will sound very typical there, but he's new on the list, because I've never paid much attention to Slipknot in the first place. I was pushed away from them because of the clothing, but I once watched a music playlist on tv and they've played "Duality" and let me tell you, the first fucking thing when I heard Jordi's drumming was "Wait, I HEAR MOON IN THIS" and damn was I not disappointed - also guessed the influence. I've went on Spotify, listened to them and discovered "Psychosocial" and damn did my mind was fucking blown to pieces. I mean, the intro is tame for them, then soft drumming and then it's just pure aggression on drums and the power on them, omfg, mixed with the bass drums, like yes, this is how drummers should fucking play AND THE DRUMS ARE LOUDER THAN THE REST, LIKE DOUBLE YES. Not any influence, but like, I listen to Slipknot just because of Jordi. Also look at this beast of a drumset:
THIS IS A DRUMSET!
No. 6 - Cozy Powell
This guy is a madman on drums. This guy is a wonderful drummer and I can listen to him all the fucking time, this should be enough, but I will say more! We are going in the territory where I can't unglue my eyes when I see the drummer and damn is Cozy a candy to my eye when I can see him play. The way he seemed to fly on his drumset is impossible to describe and "A Light In The Black" only proves my point. Not only rhythmical, but talented to the point of composing his own songs and slaying every single one I heard so far. I'll say even more. If not Cozy, Rainbow wouldn't sound as good as it does. Seriously, the song I've linked is purely driven by Cozy's insane drumming. Not a major influence this guy, but I've discovered Rainbow and then Deep Purple thanks to him. I still like Rainbow more - Cozy, duh and Dio on vocals, no one can fucking beat that - and Cozy is somehow special to me. I think he was one of the first drummers that made me look at 70s music more seriously. And the beauty he played on:
No. 5 - Ringo Starr
Now this is the guy I mentioned earlier, that he is so high above while being a rhythmical drummer only. Now where do I start with him... Okay, maybe first of all, I'll start with this, I'll just talk about "Yellow Submarine" XD I was in a very dark place in my life a few years ago you know. Parents were painting walls in the living room, playing music and the tv station played this song. While it has a very simple drumming, I was drawn to it immediately. Asking who is it playing and all. This song actually saved my life back then, then I forgot about it and then I gave The Beatles a chance. Once I heard this song I started crying, happy that I've found the baby of a song that I've cherished so much. Then I saw the drummer and then it all went down that hill! I was listening to their records almost chronologically, until I've watched "Help!" and heard the song. You won't believe it, the small drumming part between verse and chorus was the few seconds that made me go "Ringo's GOOD". His drumming is extremely catchy, rhythmical to the point of him being the click himself, plus when I see him drumming it's just a festival of pure joy for me. He just fucking dances while playing, it's so good, you just see he has the best of fun on the drums, like, you can't have a better example of a drummer having fun in the 60s while being categorized by me as rhythmical drummer. Not a major influence, but he made a path for me to someone with the help of another drummer who will be on the list. The sweet drumset of his:
He did and still does so freaking much on this baby!
No. 4 - Buddy Rich
That guy is really really REALLY out of this list. I heard him by total accident while browsing youtube and I suddenly saw an old video of a drummer and then this:
11 minutes of pure, amazing, skilled beyond belief drumming. You have to see and hear it by yourself, it's impossible to describe what Buddy does on this freaking instrument while having such a tiny set. It's magic, pure pure magic. Not an influence at all, but I can see that he might be my starting point on to the jazz music, because if I have to find such amazing drummers likr him there, I might as well start listening to jazz.
No. 3 - Stewart Copeland
Now here's an odd one! I knew The Police for a long time, dad loves them, mom hates them and I didn't have a lot of chances to really listen to them, until the previously mentioned tv station. They've, my dear, played "Roxanne" during my fresh The Who phase and I only needed to hear the first few second of drumming before the slight pause to love it immediately. Stewart is a very skilled guy, rhythmical, chaotic, he has the fun of his life on drums, has the power to make the drums sounds soft but also smash them to give that BOOM sound I love so much. He also has the same hold of left hand on the drumstick like Buddy Rich, which makes it very easy to make quick sounds. Also the way he can keep the speed throughout the entire song? I mean, listen to "Synchronicity I", this is a drumming masterpiece, everything so well played I fucking can't but scream when I hear it. Also he's a great composer and I was so happy to recognize Copeland when I've played Spyro games and heard the soundtrack. I also bought The Police concert on DVD lately and finally could see him on stage - he's so focused on his work and it gives wonderful results. I wish the camera was focused on him more, I would DIE to see him all the time on stage, his work on stage IS INSANE. Not any influence from him, he just passed along, pulled me by my ear and let me listen to him in peace XD And here the beauty of his:
No. 2 - John Bonham
Now where the fuck do I start with him? I mean it almost seems like he came to me in the right time, in the right moment, literally wrapping his arm around my shoulders and saying: "I'll help ya with your troubles and will show you something" and it was also when I heard "In My Time Of Dying" as a whole for the first time in my life. I did listen to Led Zeppelin in chronological order, went nuts when I heard "Moby Dick", first drum solo I've heard in my life, but "In My Time Of Dying" convinced me that Bonzo is the guy for me in this band. The power in his arms is incredible, you can hear it in his playing, rhythmical, chaotic, you name it. He could go and play at insane speeds, and this song is a perfect example of John playing slowly, just to speed up and freaking thrash on the drums at the very end. He was a major influence for me, Led Zeppelin being the band that kind of started my obsession with music, "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You" being the first song that really hit where it should. I also don't know what's it with the sound of his drumset, but you only have to listen to it for a while and you know it's this bear behind the drum kit, killing it in every second of the song. AND GOD DON'T LET ME START ABOUT LIVE VERSIONS OF MOBY DICK. I can blast this shit for full 30 minutes without a single fuck given, I love his playing so much. He made me love the raw sound of drums and also made me realize that drums should be on the first place in music, not a background noise that is creating rhythm for the band. No, that is fucking boring. You gotta made them SOUND good, you can't just sit and play the rhythm and use all of the power you have in your arms and legs to play them. I also think Bonzo caused my ears to become so used to drumming that I'm not bothered by how loud they are. And honestly good, because like I've already mentioned while talking about Ringo, John was the second guy who made a path for me to someone... For now, his beautiful drumset:
No. 1 - Keith Moon
You knew he will be there, there couldn't be anyone else. Let's skip back to the story about the lonely drum at preschool I told you about. I kept the instrument dear to my heart, listening to various music, but there was a day when I've stepped into the living room when my mom was watching the original CSI series. I've stepped when the outro was playing and you know, 10 years old me was like "What is that? Can I stay?" and then I heard the intro. That day was the one that made me be obsessed with drumming. I heard Keith Moon drumming at that day and only now, when I started listening to them I've realized that this fucking drunkard is responsible for my drumming obsession. This was an instant impact, I loved the intro so much, along with the two others that I watched the series just to hear the music. Parents knew the band but they didn't play it to me, until I've discovered them again, and then again, and then in the last year for the last time, to become who I am now. An insane fucking loon about Keith Moon.
His drumming style is the base for me to look at other drummers. It's the most chaotic, artsy, insane, mad driven playing I adore with my whole soul and body. "Who Are You" being the first song I heard by The Who, still feeling very nostalgic for it. "Bell Boy" being the prime example for me how drums should sound like. Loud, insane, overtaking the whole fucking song, because this is the main instrument, bass, guitar and any other being the side ones, even the vocals being treated like a part of background noise that tries to overscream the drumming. Ya just listen to the part before the chorus - also sang by Keith - to hear how loud the drumming is, especially in the second part of the song.
Also his playing style. Mad, insane, all over the place, self taught, powerful, destructive even - those are the best qualities that a drummer can get. If a drummer can go to the drumset and destroy it with his playing power? Yes, that is what I'm talking about. Smash it to pieces because you have this much power in your arms and legs and you're giving it all.
And the path that I kept mentioning, led to him. John Bonham pulled me into older music, Ringo Starr convinced me to older music, then John took my hand and pushed me into Keith's direction, where I've found what I lost at childhood, so the most influential musician for me without who I'm a shell of myself.
And now, the beast of the beautiful drumset he had:
