Miki’s father was a yokai and her mother was a demon. Her father was killed for harboring a demon and her mother was killed as well, resulting in her and her brothers going to their uncle. Their aunt had died a few years prior to a demon so Haruki had a hatred for demons, resulting in the abuse of the Suzuki siblings. Miki looked the most like their mother so she received the worst of the abuse. One day, the three of them were trying to escape from their uncle’s mansion and were discovered by a group of demon slayers who mistakened them for full demons and tried to kill them. After this, the young siblings decided to start hiding their ears and tails so something like that wouldn’t happen again. After becoming tsugukos to the flame hashira and water hashira at 9 and 12 (Miki and Miko were Giyuu’s tsugukos while Michio was Kyojuro’s) the three were able to go to final selection after just a year of training. Miki became a hashira the quickest out of them all after just 6 months while Miko and Michio took 1 year to become hashira. The only ones who know about them being half yokai/half demon are the Ubuyashikis, the other hashiras, close friends, and other family.
Fun facts:
-Miki loves to sing but she’s always scared of being judged so she never does it.
-Miki’s breathing style, starlight breathing, is based on moon breathing.
-Due to having descended from Kokushibo, Miki, Miko, and Michio all received some of his strength, but Miki received the most which is why she became a hashira so quickly.
-Chicken udon is Miki’s comfort food.
-She’s sensitive to the sun so she usually tries to not go out in the sun much at all
-She and her brothers have similar bdas. Miki’s is “Death by starlight”, Miko’s is “Deadly constellation’s twinkle, and Michio’s is “Death in space’s depths”.
-Miki is always cold so during winter she has to dress VERY warmly to be able to go outside
-She loves the sound of rain but thunderstorms scare her because of how loud they are
-She absolutely LOVES making flower crowns for her loved ones! She’ll often go out to the garden behind her estate to make some!
-There is a cherry blossom orchard near Miki’s estate that she’ll often go to when she needs to relax
-Kids and animals love her!
-Her love language is touch so she’s often clinging to a loved one in some way
-If she’s embarrassed she either runs away, starts crying, or both
-She’s very insecure about her eyes despite how unique and beautiful they are
