𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐉𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐋𝐔𝐂𝐊, leave it to her to have the absolute misfortune of running into the male. how could her day get any worse ? she detested him, his presence annoyed her unlike anything. she had no idea why he had even bothered to show his face in town again. she was a solid friend, hence the reason she had 𝐚 𝐜𝐨𝐝𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧 when it came to the way she treated her friends ex boyfriends. her annoyance was evident, sutton gardner did not care to mask the way she felt about certain people, espcially 𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐦 𝐚𝐭𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐧. she was going to do her best to not let him get to her, but he had an unmatched ability to annoy her endlessly. sutton couldn’t stand his stupid grin, or his cocky attitude. he hadn’t even spoken a single word yet, and she was already annoyed. why did he have to come back ?
sutton almost wished the ground had swallowed her whole beneath her feet so she didn’t have to see him, and she certainly hoped that her friend didn’t meet the same fate as her. at least liam wasn’t her ex boyfriend, so if one of them absolutely had to suffer, sutton supposed she was relieved that it had been her and not her best friend. her arms folded across her chest as she she began to walk towards him, her signature bitch face turned ALL THE WAY ON. she hadn’t quite gone over what she was going to say to him, but that didn’t stop her from her approach anyways. she could think of something to say on the spot, she was certain. perhaps she’d make it crystal clear that she didn’t trust him, and that she was going to be incredibly protective of her best friend had he come back in an attempt to win her back.
❝ you know, i thought the vibes here suddenly started to get worse, ❞ she spoke, narrowing her eyes at the man. ❝ it’s really unfortunate that my suspicions were confirmed. ❞ sutton wanted to know what made him come back after being away for so long, she was going to do her best to pry answers out of him. ❝ what made you come back to town ? i mean, cm’on, liam. don’t you have somewhere better to be ? ❞ she wanted answers, so while other words were threatening to spill out, she held her tongue and simply waited to see what he had to say so she’d know how to respond appropriately to his presence.
