A Farewell to Arms was a great book and I can see clearly why Ernest Hemingway is one of the greatest authors of the last century. It an interesting take on the classic war novel and the whole book was merely a buildup to the end that shocked me. I hate mysterious endings, but this one left nothing to the imagination. Great book!

As I was reading the scene in which the protagonist's soon to be wife, Catherine, was going into labour, constantly begging for more anesthetics, I could only think about the dentist from Little Shop of Horrors, Orin Scrivello, who was addicted to the laughing gas he used instead of giving it to his patients. http://images.wikia.com/villains/images/c/cf/Orin_Srivello%2C_DDS.jpg

Went down to one of the parks in my Apartment Complex to finish my book

I choose A Farewell to Arms because I’ve heard that Ernest Heminway is a great author and it sounded a lot more interesting than the other AS recommended books that I haven’t read, as I’ve read Great Expectations already. I hope to get a book as good as the reputation of Hemingway.
