if it interests you to know— there was originally supposed to be a kiss scene at the end between them but del toro cut it out b/c he didnt want to run the risk of reducing mako’s character from “badass heroine” to “love interest”

YEAH I KNOW THAT AND I LOVED IT SO MUCH IT !!! The final scene was very touching and I cried like a baby, it was really touching for me and a kiss wouldn't made justice to all of this.
