Romantic Head Canon’s for Grimmjow
Anything remotely explicit sits under the cut. Everything is strictly for my portrayal of him. Not rules other Grimm-writers should ever feel pressured to abide by.
• Grimmjow takes to quiet comfort of another. Being verbally and physically challenged excites him, but the shared silence between himself and his significant other is a level of intimacy he revels in. However, he’ll never admit it.
• He wears his pride like a badge of sorts. The moment that facade breaks, it means that on a subconscious level, something’s changed. It reads like shame at first glance, but it’s something less embarrassing he hasn’t realized yet.
• To the outside world, it seems as though Grimmjow never eats. He's alert at all hours. In true predator fashion, he eats when he's "safe," which no one ever catches except for his significant other. That’s when his defenses lower and comfort settles in.
• Love is a foreign concept. Grimmjow yearns for closeness, and initially, whatever is as close to love as a hollow like himself can feel starts off as some kind of twisted hunger. Seeming insatiable. Battling and hunting does nothing for him. Unable to calm something so primal yet elusive frustrates him.
• By nature, Grimmjow is monogamous. He does not seek out romance. It's something that simply crops up for him. When he finds the one person that changes his worldview in a way he doesn't realize until it's too late, he pursues them. It’s rare and not your typical romantic gesture when it does happen.
• In many ways, the sixth is rebellious, testing boundaries, but not when it comes to a partner. He's fiercely loyal. Conversely, he expects the same level of loyalty back.
