Authors note: This is a little bit of fluff but with a weird casey Jones twist to it I have to apologize she doesn’t really know how process an emotion besides anger. Lol anywaaaays I feel like no one really reads these but I really love writing them so I think I will continue this.
Summary: Leonardo embarrasses Casey Jones with his big show of honor and gratitude.
Casey sat silently on a giant make shift bean bag filled with rice, and made out of random fabric patches. Her sports gear laid neatly next to her while Michelangelo talked a mile a minute.
“I like to work out like every day.” He said while he stretched his arms, trying to impress her. She scowled at him.
“Aren’t you supposed to be oh I don’t know… worried about your friend?” She couldn’t believe that the bright eyed turtle in orange was hitting on her when someone he cared about was hurt in the next room.
“He’s my brother angel cakes.” Mikey corrected her. “And donnies taking care of him.” He assured her. “We’re all brothers.”
“Don’t call me angel cakes.” She spat at him. “What the hell does that even mean?” She questioned.
“Woah chill out,” Mikey implored. “I’m just having some fun.” Casey shot Mikey a look before shrugging him off.
“Whatever.” Casey tapped her foot, faster and faster as she became more and more impatient. “What’s taking your brother so long?” She stood up in frustration. “I thought he was a technical genius?” She mocked as she paced back and forth. Raphael stood at the end of the room, examining the tiny human who had saved his brother. He tried to see how someone so small and frail could save Leo, despite her sassy attitude and sarcastic remarks. Raph decided that he would never let Leo live it down. Donnie opened the door to his lab, signaling everyone inside. Leonardo lay on Donatello’s examination table. His ribs were wrapped, same as his wrist and left ankle. “Wow.” She said with her tongue jutting out against her cheek. Casey looked around the room, forcing herself not to laugh. “I’m in turtle awe of your skills.” She held in her laughter as best she could. The guys all groaned at her awful pun.
“Ow,” Leo uttered. “I think that hurt more then the actual fall.” She rolled her eyes, sneaking a smile back behind her stone-like expression.
“If it weren’t for me you’d be dead, gak face.” She quipped. Leonardo tried to scoff, almost injuring his ribs in the process.
“Is your ass jealous of all the shit that comes out of your mouth?” He smiled.
“Your pretty cocky for a turtle.” Casey crossed her arms, irritated at his back talk.
“And you’re pretty loud mouthed for a girl.” Casey gasped at his comment, filling her lungs with anger.
“Aw look at that,” chimed Michelangelo. “They’re already flirting.” Casey flung an explosive hockey puck at Mikey’s head. He ducked as it exploded in the air behind him. “Woah chica chill.”
“Quit telling me to chill.” She stuck her finger in the air at Mikey, before throwing her hands up in defeat. “Whatever I did my good deed for the year.” She turned to walk out but Leo stopped her, pulling at her wrist.
“Wait.” He managed. She shot a look of horror at his hand around her wrist. Casey’s heart froze and her cheeks burned. What is this? She thought in alarm. Leonardo noticed the constipated look on her face and yanked his hand away.
“Uh- I just wanted to say thanks.” Casey furrowed her brows.
“Don’t-” she started, but was interrupted by Leo suddenly attempting to get up. Everyone in the room rushed to his side but he only let them help him off of the table before waving them away. Casey backed up as Leonardo faced her. He balanced on his healthy foot and bowed to her respectfully. She watched in shock, what’s he doing? She thought. Her heart raced, as she remembered they weren’t the only ones in the room. Two pairs of eyes stared at Leo, while Raphael smirked at her teasingly. He saw himself in her. Her demeanor, her sarcasm, the way she covered her uncomfortableness with anger. He knew this had to be absolute torture for her. Casey could feel sweat beading down her forehead as anxiety rushed through her chest. She did the only think she could think of and bailed.
