maybelline 'the rocket volume express' VS. covergirl 'lashblast volume': first time use comparison

First let's start with the packaging. 

very similar in size.

First I'd like to say that I've owned the covergirl mascara before, but the rocket was a new one for my collection.

They both applied amazing!

The cover girl mascara is deffintaly more of a volumizing mascara, with not that much of length.

The rocket was good on length and alright on volume. It clumped up a bit but it ended up looking longer and a bit fuller then the cover girl one.

review:

maybelline brissols were short and seemed to grip and spread the mascara out evenly. It sort of gripped at my lash line a bit with uncomfortable poking. 

cover girl has more of a drying formula. Making them feel dry and a bit brittle.  

Over all I think that they are not similar. They may /look/ similar but they are not. Cover girl has more of volume/no clump look. While maybelline has more of a length/sort of volume/ slight clumping look.

I'm very pleased with these products and will give a full review on the rocket mascara after I use it for a while. :)
