I remember original founder Talal stated by selling hot food out of his car along Michigan Ave in the early 80's to businesses, I managed a gas station Michigan n Lonyo he would stop by twice a week selling fantastic Chicken Shawarma and Salads. Fast forward he hired Wanda right outta high school at 19 she now manager of new revamped original location under new owner since 2011. Our first visit choose them because of Dearborn Restaurant Week had a mega platter for 2 with drinks for 30 bucks OMG outstanding delicious. Wanda tell me 2 of the original chefs run the kitchen. Despite everything you may have heard about LaShish's past troubles, this is still the best restuarant in Dearborn. The staff is very friendly and attentive, the property is clean and well maintained and the food's off the charts great. We started with Fatoush Salad n Lentils Soup spot on with hot Pita bread from the oven with Lebanese red dipping sauce and Toum you know as Garlic Sauce. A mega plate lined with Rice and Vegetables cooked to perfection they don't skimp like most places, actually best ever eaten be Carrots, Peppers n Squash WOWED. The meat 2 each of Kafta, Chicken Tawook and Lamb Kebab we just couldn't finish it all. Wanda a true pro keeping the house organization going full throttle keeping all customers happy.
