Last Temptation "Fuel For My Soul"
Last Temptation és una banda de poc recorregut (aquest és el seu 2n. llarga durada) amb un so stoner però amb estil més hard rock.
No destaca per res en general i poder el seu segell, sigui aquest amalgama de veu melòdica + so pesat. Si bé "Fuel For My Soul" no està pas malament, trobo les guitarres de Peter Scheithauer totalment desencertades: per una banda el so excessivament distorsionat, que li fa perdre calidesa, i per l'altra, els solos passats de voltes sense cap sentit i a mi, això em trenca. S'ha de dir que sobre una base correcta descansa la veu de Butcho Vukovic, molt ben posada.
Trobem sonoritats Black Label Society (la portada ja ens dóna pistes) en "Ashes and Fire" (on la tornada es converteix en hard rock), "Fuel For My Soul" (que dóna títol a l'àlbum i ens recordarà també als Audioslave) o "Free, Strong and Loud". Algun tema més Black Sabbath, com ara "Going Crazy", el "Stronger Than Fate" on els corus podrien entonar perfectament un "We Rock" de Dio, així com un "I Don't Wanna Be Your God" que entra com el "Wherever I May Roam" de Metallica per convertir-se en estendard dels Alice in Chains amb aquestes veus doblades.
Un àlbum correcte i equilibrat en quant a producció, amb un to fosc que no ens acaba d'enfonsar, gràcies a les melodies vocals.
