Parents.

Balthier doesn't have many fond memories of his parents anymore. He still cares about them, even his father, but his experiences with the good 'Doctor Cid' in recent times have tainted any times he once perceived as good.

Watching the old man fall to the madness that took him, a part of him wonders if he might be susceptible to the same thing. Even though he's done his best to cast off any shred of his previous life, he can't help but wonder if the madness is genetic.

So he does his best not to think about his past, or his family, as focus solely on the present and the future.

In all seriousness, Gippal understands all of the pros and cons of Chocobos to Machina when it comes to… well, transportation and upkeep and everything. But it’s his own personal preference that he believes machina are just better. He might even wrinkle his nose a little bit if one of Nooj’s Chocobo Knights swing by the temple. And make a wisecrack about how Nooj sure loves the old-school way of doing things. And how he’s surprised the old man can still walk around. And does he have gray hair yet?

This completely surprised her. She didn't actually expect to kiss a girl on the lips. Especially since she barely knew her. But, she knew she had to do it. So, she got on her tip-toes and gave the girl a quick peck on the lips before stepping away slightly as her entire face turned to the shade of red.
