Something seemed off to him. Reaching out, he took a gentle hold of his sister's shoulder so that he could get a better look. Finally, he let out a chuckle once he saw what was going on. "So this must have happened from all that noise I was hearing."

Genny hadn’t expected her brother to turn her around like that, unable to hitch her jacket up a bit higher. She blushed mightily at his words. “What? No! That wasn’t- ew you were listening?”

"But you were suppose to be out," She whined. "Like, doing errands or something! I don’t remember. And you aren’t going to find out who it is so there’s no use trying to find out."

"I had already finished them earlier in the day. Besides, people can drop by home after all. Loveless got cancelled where I was going anyways." He added. "And that sounds like a challenge to me."

"Well well well. Looks like someone either had some kind of fight. Or that you had a very fun night." Genesis said, chuckling at the marks over Sephiroth.

"…. Shut up, Genesis."

It was really all he could think to retort to the other, a blush burning his cheeks as he tried to tug his coat closed just a little more. He was not used to such things, and it only made him feel that much more self conscious and awkward.

  "I suppose it would be better to get onto more serious matters: Was it someone from your esteemed club?" He asked. Might as well try and figure out who it was so that he could use that information later on against him.

"Like I would tell you, Genesis.. I’m not foolish enough to give you any further fuel on me." A smirk curled on his lips at the attempt to get information directly out of him.

"Well I can say it was worth a shot." He said, giving the other a shrug. "Though how have you been outside of this little night escapade?" He asked. It had been a long time since he had seen his friend.

"It was cold!" She stammered, crossing her arms and looking away. "I can’t wear skirts all the time when I’m not on duty. And skirts are inappropriate for getting dumbapples. I’m not letting anyone upskirt me!"

"Despite that, you’ve never shown this side of yourself. The farm I’ll give you. But realize I’m basing all of this from my experience." He said with a serious face. "Besides, I’m sure if you have any lovers they’d enjoy this look."

"…what’s with the serious face?" She blinked, not at all expecting it.

"It was to make sure you knew how I felt about this. Come on, I won't go too far with the skirt comments." He said, finally giving another light laugh. "Besides you do look good in them."

There was no way he’d let this go by. “Now it would have been rude if I listened in completely. All I had to do was hear one moan from you and I understood what was going on. I hope they did use protection after all!”

"Oh my god, I can’t believe you heard that!" Genny cried out, before shoving her brother over. "Ugh, we weren’t even having sex! Just making out and things got… a little heated. Why were you even home?!"

"Why was I home? Because I do live here. What are you gonna be kicking me out?" He asked. "And besides, I wasn't paying attention after that first moan. Soon as I heard that I knew to give you two privacy...for whoever it was. I'm sure I could have a nice talk with them." He added, a teasing smile forming over his face.

"Hmnn.. I suppose that it true. Get your licks in, now, while you can, I suppose.." Sephiroth didn’t mind too much. Yeah it was embarrassing, but it was just how they showed their affection. Brotherly banter, if you would.

Genesis crossed her arms and huffed, cheeks red with both embarrassment and frustration at her brother. “I do not. You just think that because I’m in SOLDIER, I can’t possibly be feminine anymore. You’re just secretly sexist.”

While Genesis had not gotten everything while Gen was comforting Genny, he did at least manage to find the med kit. And so as he started to come on back towards the two, he listened to the story that was being told. All he heard was something about blaming her for mom’s death, which he clicked for being their father. He closed his eyes, knowing that pain. He’d only found out about her death recently himself, but he couldn’t let it affect him negatively.

Moving even more closer, he opened the medkit, dabbing a cloth with some alcohol. “This’ll sting a bit.” He said quietly as he started to get to work on her wounds. To think their father had done this to her. This was something he knew that he couldn’t forgive. He kept his focus onto the wounds, though his voice chose to go towards someone else.

"Gen, I think we might need to pay that old fool a visit sooner or later. This is something that won’t be going well. We need to press charges after all, since we are the only relatives that Genny can turn to."

Gen didn’t say a word for a long moment, Wrapping one arm around his sister and kissing the side of her head, he ran his fingers through her chopped hair, thinking carefully about what needed to be done. “You did not kill mom.” He assured quietly to her kissing her head again.

He nodded, a bit numbly as Genesis said that they needed to confront the man. It was true. It had to be done. Gen himself had found out about the death not long after it had happened and had only just been allowed to the funeral. He hadn’t been allowed back in the house since he dropped out of school. Both his parents assuming he would be a bad influence on his younger siblings.

Now, seeing where it had got all three of them he couldn’t help but wonder if his parents had been right. Regardless of the past though, their father wasn’t in the right now. “I’ll pay the man a visit while you both are in school.” He answered before sighing. “He can’t do much to me anymore. I haven’t been his responsibility since I was younger then Genny and if he tries to attack me I’ll get criminal charges on him in a heartbeat.” Not that he wanted it to get to that, but he knew his siblings wouldn’t like him going alone otherwise. worrywarts, guess they get it from me though….

Genny continued to cry even as her brothers spoke over her, reassuring her and calming her down. But when Gen mentioned going to see their father, her eyes widened and she hitched a sob. “B-But why? Just leave him alone. I don’t… I don’t want him to come after you!”

Criminal charges be damned, that didn’t mean he should be putting himself at risk! And she would disagree vehemently after her brothers being a bad influence on her. Living with them had honestly been much more fulfilling than being at home without her mom and her dad now scaring her into submission like this.

"My hair’ll grow back," She mumbled, staring down at her knees. "I just want to move forward from this…"

Not that it won’t give her nightmares.

"Genny, were this to have been something towards the one of us, I am sure you would be feeling the same thing." He said, looking down towards her. Sure, he was the one that should be keeping a level head about this. But that didn't change the fact of what their old man did. It was child abuse at that.

However, he found himself shaking his head towards Gen. "If anything we should not be doing this alone. There is no telling what he would do if we went alone. And after seeing Genny...I think it would be wise for us to see him together as a family." He added. He was worried about how far Gen would go after all.

"Thankfully I don't have much tomorrow...we can do it together then." He concluded, kneeling down to give them both a hug. "For now, lets worry about the present. What's for dinner?"

Now this was a sight for sore eyes. He hadn’t expected of all the people he had met that his sister would finally be wearing a skirt. “Since when did you decide to pick one of those up?” Gen asked Genny.

She punched him in the arm. “Did you forget I’m female, Gen?”

"Ah you wound me my dear sister!" He said, a teasing smile over his face. "How could I forget that you are a female after all? You certainly have the right...temper."

Now this was a sight for sore eyes. He hadn't expected of all the people he had met that his sister would finally be wearing a skirt. "Since when did you decide to pick one of those up?" Gen asked Genny.
