It's the last Friday of March and guess what's back? Well, #LastFrys, of course! This time courtesy of sweet Inês, who shared this link with me. Enjoy, everyone! :)

Starting 2014's #LastFrys with an "Anxiety Group" seems fitting. And Catalina Ferro has anxieties within her anxieties, yo! ;)
#LastFrys of the year shall be this very intense performance called "That Girl" from a young and Brave New Voice: Alysia, who knows exactly what "being Anne Franked" means (go watch Girls, if you don't know).
This -> http://youtu.be/9gqW5BEOjzA is the same performance by her, years later. I'm posting here not just for comparative values, but mostly because of what she unveils in the beginning, about the first performance.
#LastFrys: I can't get enough of Staceyann Chin's spoken word "My First Period". In this video she starts with the best haiku I've ever heard of. *hugs a boy*
#LastFrys: It was very hard to pick just one video from Beau Sia's performances. I'm still to watch one I don't like very much. I think this one, however, translates his presence the best. By the end of minute one you'll already know if you love or hate its slam poetry. Plus, it's something about an invasion, you guys! 'Tis a must watch! :D
#LastFrys: "Hir" is a poem by Alysia Harris & Aysha El Shamayleh about the struggles some people are burdened with since birth. It made me cry a little.
#LastFrys: When I found Vanessa Hidary aka The Hebrew Mamita back in the Summer of 2012 I was baffled. How was it possible that such a cool persona and performances weren't better known online (or at least in my circles)? Or maybe they are and I just lived under a rock.
"PhD in Him" is a great reminder and "Fling Gone Awry (aka Brooklyn)" makes for a nice listening combo.
#LastFrys: "Eve's Mouth" (that I'd succinctly describe as feminism meets fables and historical figures) was the first thing I heard from Alix Olson. It was love at first minute. This is one of her musical performances. In others you can hear more instruments, and in some others you can only listen to her voice, which I find very appealing, by the way. Here's a playlist I found on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ar5oT8JhtOo&feature=share&list=PL7F23BAF2CB88C8BB
