lastknownwriter is an author I get asked about pretty often. Their stories are legendary; to this day, “Small Town Charmer,” “Past, Present” and “Freefall” are well known and well loved. Despite that popularity, though, I find most people don’t seem to realize that the reason these stories aren’t available - and the reason I won’t distribute them - is that lastknownwriter has edited them and published them!

OMGCP LOVE FEST FIC RECS

Day 2 of @omgcplovefest means FIC REC TIME! (most of these are smutty/NSFW okay this is your warning)

These are my all time faves, in no particular order-

1. Loose Lips Sink Ships - SummerFrost

"Epikegster 2014 starts with Bitty’s Winter Screw date crashing the party, and ends with Kent Parson giving him his hat and four tickets to an Aces game."

Super hard hitting Kent/Bitty AU, beautifully written.

Word count: 30k

2. Ill Equipped - lastknownwriter

"Jack's first mistake was getting drunk in a salsa club with Kent Parson. Or, the accidental Vegas married AU no one asked for."

Amazing mixture of Zimbits fluff and NSFW, just so cute!

Word count: 66k

3. Infinity, Plus One - SummerFrost

"Eric Bittle hoped to find a lot of things at Samwell University, but being caught in the cross-fire between his surly captain, Jack Zimmermann, and his friendly-but-moody alternate captain, Kent Parson, was certainly not one of them."

This one rips my heart apart, another Kent/Bitty sitch that is wonderfully written (ily SummerFrost)

4. Baking Is Punk As Fuck - heyfightme

"In which instead of actually playing hockey, the guys play shitty (pun intended) DIY punk in a band called Soft Hands. classically-trained pianist eric bittle doesn’t quite know what’s hit him."

This list would not be complete without fandom superstar heyfightme. All I can say is that this fic is incredibly written, and LORD it is LIFE CHANGING. Plus, supporting local Australian creators!

5. Alicia is P.O.T.U.S. - @fanaste

This is an ongoing fic which is exactly what it sounds like - Alicia is P.O.T.U.S., Jack is the first son, and Bitty is the peppy new Social Media Manager. It has only just started, but I adore it already. This one isn't NSFW (yet?)!

Summary: By ten a.m. Dean had seen his dream of expanding the hardware store dashed.

By one, his baby had been impounded off the street.

By midnight, Dean's personal space had been invaded by an angry, wet bookseller with hot blue eyes and an armful of natty first editions.

There was also a cat.

Maybe we should start at the beginning..

Comments: 10/10. This is so sweet and fluffy and domestic, no angst whatsoever. Dean owns a hardware store, and Cas is his newly moved in neighbor who runs a bookstore. They get together and enjoy life in a quant small town. It’s so lovely and full of people and traditions and it’s so so fluffy. It’s amazingly sweet and the smut is amazing. There’s an entire part about how they also knew each other as kids, and it’s just so adorable.

Freefall by lastknownwriter

Summary: Kindergarten teacher Dean Winchester spends his days elbow deep in play doh; the most exciting his life gets is when he plays mechanic in his uncle Bobby's shop on the weekends. That is until a birthday party goes tequila-nova and he trips into a one-night stand with an incredibly hot firefighter named Castiel.

Dean's life gets a lot more exciting after that.

Comments: 10/10. It’s so sweet and smutty, no angst but there is life and death situations. Dean and Cas are the grossest couple in existence, and it’s wonderful. Dean and Cas drunkenly hooks up one night at the Roadhouse, but they grow closer, start dating, got married, and somehow winded up with a troubled teenage son and an adorable baby daughter. This fic is amazingly written, the smut is amazing, but the plot is also awesome. This is amazing, and I cannot say it enough times, just go read it.
