——- As far as districts go in Spirale, she finds Golden pleasant. It’s modern, accessible, and has all the shopping she can dream of on prices that, unlike boutiques in Los Angeles, aren’t meant to cripple her financially. ( Not that money here is quite the same. )
For this day she’s already visited Golden and left, having printed a small variety of photographs -- and headed towards the one thing she hadn’t done today. Food. And that’s just what Archimedes is for.
It’s where she usually goes to swim or gawk at the architecture -- this time she’s finally located the food court, no doubt temporary and seemingly well populated for that reason.
So many booths and so much to choose from -- Spiralean food, though similar in some aspects, has proven unfamiliar, and Athena is happy to sight a noodle booth amongst the crowds and queues. Taste of Home indeed -- it’s just the right amount of salt and flavor she’s inevitably going to miss when the festival closes up. She leans against the edge of the booth, making space for the queue at the front -- and nearly chokes on her noodles in surprise.
Long braided silvery hair -- it can’t be a coincidence, as she’s spent long enough envying the color. Regal white attire. Yes, she’d been told she might see them around, but actually doing so is another shock entirely. Athena finishes her bite -- swallows, lest she looks any more impolite than it already is to accost a person in public -- and approaches, skirting around a pair of visitors blocking the way.
If she wasn’t sure of their identity, she is now -- unless Prosecutor Sahdmadhi has a secret twin, which might not be entirely off the mark with all their family complications. ( For once she’s glad Widget isn’t here to blurt that out. )
“Would you look at that!” There are people with friendlier faces and less convoluted past interactions, but if she holds any grudge, it doesn’t reflect in the beaming smile she gives them. “Prosecutor Sahdmadhi! I knew I’d find you eventually, but everyone that’s supposed to be here is kind of scattered...”
