So @jleeang77 and I tried to watch "The Last Temptation of Christ" together last night...and it did not go well. One of us had seen this film before, and got a lot out of it, while the other had never seen it. This newcomer to it did not care for the film in any way. You can try to guess which of us is which, if you care... But the main point, though, is that I almost never find it anything less than fascinating to ponder a messiah tale, whether that's the story of Jesus, or Frodo Baggins' tale, or the journey of Paul Atreides in "Dune," or the spiritual trajectory of any other figure who gets tapped to ascend and save others. Have any of you seen this film?
