Late For Class- Remus Lupin

You woke up to your husband’s frantic movements as he jumped out of your shared bed. It wasn’t like him to act in such a way. Remus was generally a calm man, he wanted what was best for the two of you and usually the easiest way to go about it was to stay calm and collected.

A while ago he did have night terrors which didn’t surprise you as being a werewolf broke him down every single month and it was the only thing that ever got in the way of your relationship. You didn’t care that he was a werewolf, but he didn’t want to hurt you and was convinced he would end up being the reason you died. It took some time, but you managed to show him that the safest place for you was in his arms, persuading him to let you stay by his side and that’s what you did.

You tried to look through the darkness to see what he was doing. Through your tired eyes and darkness, you didn’t really see what he was doing other than moving around.

“Lumos,” you muttered allowing the candles to become light.

Across the room you could see a tired looking Remus putting on his tie even though his shit was still unbuttoned. A small slither of light broke through the curtains telling you that morning was upon you.

“What are you doing Remus?” You asked through a yawn.

Remus turned towards you with panic in his eyes.

“I’m late for school,” he stated continuing to frantically and uncoordinatedly getting dressed.

You cocked an eyebrow at him, other than after a full moon he had never been late for school, however that had been a fair while ago and not something either of you had to worry about anymore.

“Remus, love, you’re 33,” you smiled softly at him.

He took a seat on the edge of the bed, looking relieved that he wasn’t late for school. Remus leaned back to lie on the bed but quickly the relief turned back into fear and panic.

“I’m the teacher!”

He shot back onto his feet realising that he was actually late for class, just not in the way that he had first thought.

You couldn’t help but laugh at his panicked state due to his usually calm demeanour. As you watched him get ready Remus exploded into swears as he attempted to get ready as quickly as he could, so he could teach his class even if he was 20 minutes late to it.

Marauders late for class

Peter, Sirius and James racing into class respectively saying

“I’m here!!”

"I’m queer!”

"I’m a deer!”

Remus slowly walking in, looking at his friends with an exasperated expression, looking at McGonagall apologetically, “I’m...sorry..”

Baron and the Master are here. That’s not good. The master is probably Dr. Beetle, and he isn’t the nicest person from what we’ve heard of them so far.
