I was wondering why people tend to start a “new life” on Monday? We hate Mondays! Starting a new life hating it already? Good beginning, huh🙈Sunday might be a better choice. You are usually off work/school. You have pleeeeeenty of time to workout/draw/learn foreign languages/dance/read and so on (don’t remember other new year resolutions I made this year🎄haha). You actually HAVE TIME for all those things. And then just say it: Sunday. Sun-day. ☀️-day. ☀️. Isn’t it inspiring? Well, it is. But don’t listen to me. Cause my post is actually about failing my own “new life” challenge on Monday. I did start it Monday morning. And here I have to mention that one of my promises (broken by now) was to quit (reduce at least😅) drinking.Everything was going fine: morning workout, healthy breakfast 🍳 and positive thoughts/vibes all day long…Until I was invited for dinner. No,I have to rephrase. I was invited for dinner. In China. By one of my customers. For those who still don’t know what it actually means, I will explain: in China dinner with the boss/customer/the person who you need more than he needs you = drinking🍺. Well…since I’m talking about China it is actually 🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🚼
…After my 5th (6th? 7th?..) glass of beer I found myself playing drinking games and drinking without even losing. Crap.
Woke up at 7 am today. Hey, alarmy, I got you! That jerk was supposed to start irritating me from 7.30 only. I won! Woke up at 7 am feeling super fresh and happy. Had a healthy breakfast. Did workout. Don’t look hangover at all (that’s a huge plus, have a meeting today). The customer texted me, said he was drunk but it was an amazing “dinner”.
Having my second coffee and thinking 💭: Do I have to restart my “new life” next Monday AGAIN or a little party never killed nobody after all?😂 Plus see the outcome - all good. Plus I did work out in the morning. Plus I'm having dinner with the customer tonight again. Seems like plus some more🍺.
