With his warm lips as a starting point, its only forgetting from there. Their touch softly travels along every inch of your body, gently holding your heart into their warmth. Your doubts slide off your mind, with a simple touch of his hand on yours. Fingers interwined, the tears stop falling. Your eyes can now rest. A few moments of peace later and his hand slowly moves out of your tired fingers. A gentle caress on your cheeks follows, and his thumbs wipe your tears away. Your eyes met. His playful look is more serious that other times, but a soft smile shapes his lips and decorates his eyes. You feel comfort in them, they are the eyes you fell in love with. "It's alright now, babe. I'm here.". These words didn't come from his mouth. They were created by his heart, and given their shape by his smile. Ace is not a man of many words. It only took that for your tears to keep falling. They now aren't tears of doubts and worries, no. They are tears of gratitude. Ace is there for you, and you are there for him. You place your hands on his chest and allow yourself to fall forward into his embrace. His hands now caressing your back, tracing circles, and his head resting on yours. There's nothing else in this moment, it's only you and Ace. His heartbeat beating against your hands, and his peaceful breath calming your exhausted mind.

Fair Game Week 2020 Day 7: AU

Happy last day of FG week y’all! It’s been a fun time and I am burnt out (Whoops) So I would like to offer you... a Fair Game Wedding in a new AU I made. (I’m so tired so none of this will make sense. Enjoy)

The basis is that Osma was able to help Salem through her issues and steered her away from world domination. Like a domino effect, there is less death and more healing all around. In this au, Qrow and Clover meet in the woods by chance and hit it off, eventually falling in love. 

In my mind, the wedding goes like this: 

They decide to have a small, spring wedding comprised of their family, friends, and colleges (about... 30 ish people? 40? I dunno). Oz is officiating because of course he can and Salem is official Grimm-repellant. Summer immediately claimed her spot as Qrow’s Maid of honor, Tai is his Best man, and Raven is Best Sibling (by default). Meanwhile, Elm is Clover’s MoH and Ironwood is his BM. Ruby is the flower girl and Penny is the ring bearer. I assume Clover has parents so they walk him down the aisle, and then Maria walks down Qrow because I said so. 

Bird fighting before weddings is now tradition. Don’t question it. 

The wedding is very nice except The kids immediately hug-assault the happy couple afterward.

Even more stuff about this AU where Akechi gets some parental figures to disappoint

Akechi is almost 12 in this and has already spent a couple of years in the system so his immediate response is being constantly on edge because trusting people?? Adults especially?? Nope. No way.

Still he's like OK, whatever intentions he has, this is better than before, if it goes to shit later he'd deal with it then.

Akihiko is like 'oh the kid is closed off, understandable, but he seems to be better at least. :)'

Meanwhile Akechi is screaming internally for the like a week straight because not only this is the second time he helped him, he's letting him stay with him - until his injuries are fully healed but most people kick him out after the two month mark at most anyway - and is actually nice to him??

His major injuries are broken ribs and a slightly twisted ankle but he is very insisted on moving around.

That is not a good combination.

Akihiko briefly wonders if that's how Mitsuru felt when he broke his ribs and was trying to get back to training sooner than adviced.

Speaking of Mitsuru when he calls her to tell her the stuff she's like?? Akihiko is this some joke?? Akihiko why aren't you answering??? AKIHIKO I LEFT THE CITY FOR A WEEK I EXPECTED YOU TO MAYBE GET A CAPE AGAIN BUT NOT A CHILD-

Yukari also reacts pretty much the same way because?? That's a whole ass child and last month we were together when you poured protein powder into tequila shots and ranted about calories for an hour straight?? Is this really a good idea?

Mitsuru comes to Tokyo straight away from a shadow ops version, with Aigis, who hmmm okay the fact that she's a robot with a 100% conscience and is virtually unable to age or die with maintenance while her friends are going to grow old and die is a whole other thing.

Akechi is staring at them like 'shit okay, those painkillers make me have really weird dreams because there is a strange girl and a woman in really weird clothes, what's next a featherman character?'

Yukari arrives as if on cue.

Chaos ensues.

Also I find the whole health nut/Akihiko knowing calories and nutrition stuff strangely endearing, so for some time Akechi is like 'not that I'm complaining, but why are you giving me so much food?`

Akihiko going on a rant about how he's underweight so he needs to eat more calories protein and how he also needs more calcium and vitamin D for his bones to heal better.

Akechi whose diet's been pretty much 90% frozen meals for all his life, thinking if Akihiko is an idiot or not, but getting a little teary-eyed at the same time.
