The beginning of Kafka's Metamorphosis adapted into Dactylic Hexameter:
Cīmicis in corpus male māne Gregōrius ortus
sollicitīs sē versum quīvit vīsere noctīs.
ante oculōs sīc permulta aegraque crūra tremēbant
quōmodo rāmōs fortiter īnfirmōs movet āēr.
"Gregor having risen from anxious dreams was able to behold himself turned wickedly into the body of an insect. Before his eyes very many and sickly legs were trembling so, just as the wind powerfully stirs weak branches."
