I really like your Borderlands fic. Out of all the ones you wrote which is your favorite?

Ooh, lessee. I still have a soft spot for “To Crash Upon the Shore,” since I so rarely go the AU route, but it was awfully satisfying to play with alternate possibilities there. “The Spaces We Share,” “Marked,” and “Choices and Consequences” are also way up there. Basically I’m saying I’m indecisive, apparently. :)

I had a weird dream last night

I just dreamed that latin-will-rule sent princessgorgon and I on a quest to hunt down magical artifacts. They were in a dumpster that was more like a giant cave though, I guess disguised as a dumpster. Inside were the artifacts that latin-will-rule wanted, they were the robots of Steam Powered Giraffe, being guarded by unixs125 and lyraleithesanguine. We figured it'd be easy to reason with them to part with some of their treasure but they turned into dragons and attacked! We scuffled with unixs125 and lyraleithesanguine and somehow managed to steal Steam Powered Giraffe and run. The Spine wouldn't stop making nerdy jokes the whole time and Rabbit Hatchworth kept encouraging him. We got out, not without curses from the dragons and promises we'd be eaten and made it to back to meet latin-will-rule. She thanked us and took us all to Five Guys and bought us burgers, hundreds and hundreds of burgers. So yeah, there's my fantasy-esque dream. Kinda weird but nice to have an adventure and burgers XD <3 Danni

Tumblr friends!

I, latin-will-rule, unixs125, and lyraleithesanguine, are going on a camping trip this weekend for Unixs125's birthday!  YAY!  I'm super excited!  Aren't you!?

Well, I'm sorry, but you probably aren't for a few reasons T_T

1:  You aren't coming camping with us (though I sincerely wish that you could come with us!  Wouldn't that be so much fun to hang out with me in the outdoors!?)

2:  It also means that you aren't gonna be able to interact with me this weekend!  (unless you are close friends with me and have my cell number and wanna text me)

Don't worry though!  I promise that I'll be back either late Sunday or early Monday to fill you up with as much hope, love, and positivity as I can muster!

Life Update: 7-10-14 - Anime Midwest!

So this past weekend I went to Melissa’s house to go to Anime Midwest. I was super excited because I was gonna get to see Melissa for the first time in a while and we were gonna go with friends to the convention.

I got there and first I had to help Melissa finish working on her costume.  Her power had gone out so she was a day behind!  Luckily though she got it done and we got dressed up as Tsukasa and Lady Subaru from .hack//SIGN for Friday!  I didn't get my staff finished being sanded cuz, wow, sanding is a lot of work >.<  Maybe it'll be done for my next con XD

First thing we did on Friday at the con was go to the dealers room.  We walked around and saw some awesome stuff!  I took some pictures of some great cosplays like a Catbug and a Red from RWBY!  Melissa's sister, Nicole, was dressed up as Amethyst and some of her friends were dressed up in tons of USA stuff as AMERICA!!!! (fuck yeah)

After that we ended up getting some stuff from the dealers!  Melissa got a ton of cute buttons and gave me one of Sylveon!  We also saw a game called Slash, which is basically apples to apples but with slash fiction, which Melissa came back to get later.  She also got me a cute little fox plushie and a nice leather bracelet with green jewel studs in it for me ^_^

Later on that day we ended up seeing our friend who we attended college with, Jaxx!  We were eating in consuite and he joined us ^_^ It was awesome cuz I hadn't seen him in SO long!  We chilled and caught up and it was nice.  We also learned that another of our friends, Kelvin, was at the con too!  I was super excited to see him cuz, well, I hadn't seen him since I'd started transitioning so I honestly just wanted to see his reaction cuz I knew it would be hilarious XD  Also, Jaxx was hanging with some other friends who I learned were pretty rad and into Steam Powered Giraffe too!  We all had more we wanted to do so we split up but agreed to meet up for dinner later that evening after the concert ^_^

Melissa and I then went to see watch a bit of an anime in the interim before the concert and it was something called Heaven's Lost Property that, for the 30ish minutes we watch, Melissa seemed to really enjoy it XD  After that we hurried over to the concert hall cuz, well, I was anxious and impatient cuz I was so excited, I think rightfully so too!

The concert was absolutely amazing!  I can put it no other way.  I knew that it was gonna be awesome but I really didn't know what kind of awesome I was in for cuz Melissa didn't wanna spoil it XD  Like, ugh, I just loved everything about it!  The songs, the acting, the environment, it was just great!  I know I sound like I'm repeating myself and saying nothing but that's just cuz it was so great there aren't words for me to describe it!

Afterwards Melissa, our friend Ashley, Jaxx, and his two friends came with us to Denny's!  We played clown car with Melissa's car and got everyone in and on our way ^_^ We saw some other people from Anime Midwest there and chatted with them for a bit and had some delicious food.  I did find out that one of Jaxx's friends, Devin, lives nearish where I live and we ended up exchanging numbers and a promise to hang sometime (that I intend on trying to honour).

Saturday we tried to get up early so we could paint Melissa up as a robot for our picture with Steam Powered Giraffe.  Well, we failed at the early bit but we did get up around 11 and start painting in a flurry!  It took us almost three hours but we got her all painted up which I consider good since it was our first attempt at it ever XD  She looked really amazing IMO ^_^  After finishing her painting we made it just in time to get in line for our picture with Steam Powered Giraffe! 

I was, like, super anxious the whole time waiting cuz they are probably my favourite band like ever.  I mean, their music is wonderful and they feel like real, genuine, accessible people and I think that's cool in my opinion.  I mean, like, other people in the public eye it's really easy to forget that those entertainers are also normal people but that's not true with Steam Powered Giraffe and I like it a lot ^_^  So eventually we got to our turn and it was really great!  Our picture looks super cute, I got a hug from Rabbit and I think Melissa got to shake hands with The Spine and HatchWorth ^_^

After that we went to take some snacks to Melissa's sister, Nicole, and her friends and found them playing Apples to Apples.  So what do we do?  Well we sit down and play with them for like 3 hours XD  By the time we get up and leave there isn't much time before Saturday's concert so we grabbed some water and soda from the consuite and went on our way!

The second Steam Powered Giraffe concert was just as amazing as the first one!  They played some different songs and, gosh, I was just blown away again!  (Though, I think that I probably will always feel that way each time I see them XD)  We had a wonderful time and apparently one of my friends, Sami, was at the concert too, almost right in front of us, and we missed each other somehow!!! T_T When we were done Melissa and I waited for Ashley to get done with karaoke and then we went out and Melissa bought me a burger at Steak N Shake ♥♥♥

Sunday was very low key compared to the first two days!  We showed up to get our print signed by Steam Powered Giraffe but the line was SUPER LONG!  We did, however, see Nicole and Patrick waiting to get their things signed and, since you can get two things signed, they agreed to take our pic for us cuz they were already sitting in line ^_^  In the meantime we went back to the games dealer and bought a game called Slash.  Picture apples to apples but with slash fiction and shipping, it's kinda like that.  We ended up playing it for most of the afternoon in consuite with all our friends and I highly recommend it!  It was an absolute blast XD

Eventually Ashley met up with us again and we all said our goodbyes and that was it, the con was over.  It turns out that I did a lot of Steam Powered Giraffe and board/card games and not so much "traditional" anime convention stuff but that's perfectly fine!  I had a wonderful time!  I really hope that I can do it again in the near future too ^_^

Adventures with Melissa

I just asked Melissa for a glass of water and a blanket.  She threw the blanket and a towel at me and hit me in the face, then proceeded to shake her ass and run away as we were laughing.
