Although I agree that it was a 'problematic' day to choose #MIRAME to happen today it's a great idea, Cinco de Mayo is our most popular 'holiday' among Americans so why not. BUT please guys lets make sure to make this happen again in September during Hispanic heritage month lets have all the Latino voices be heard
Since mirame is coming up y all can tag me in your selfies starting now so I can get my queue going
dear skin, im sorry i spent so much time destroying and hating you. no mas. tu tienes mi palabra.
some of these stories in the 'brownandproud' and 'latiniwave' tags got me so fucked up....... we r so beautiful and we've always been taught to hate our skin and our culture but we're all collectively getting through that and changing it and damn i am so proud of this whole community honestly. it feels really nice to have a community of supportive people you dont even know ! its like a new definition to the word 'stranger'. im just so proud of everyone taking part and to everyone not, i hope u know ur just as important and loved and just as much a part of this lil fam. i luh all my brown babies !!
